My favorite Chinese take out spot in all of Highland Park (and it’s conveniently located a walk away for me)! The General Tso’s chicken dinner is my go-to menu item (it even comes with a roll). The chicken Pad Thai is pretty solid too.

Got takeout egg foo young with brown rice. The rice had gray specs in it. (Mold? Gross regardless). Door dash fully refunded me. I threw it all away. Sadly I had stopped using this place 10 years ago because of a different issue. We thought there must be new management by now. Never again.

Ordered General Tsos with pork fried rice, egg rolls and chicken chow mein. Everything I ordered was delicious except for the Chow Mein. I expected that to be a noodle dish like at Panda express (sometimes known as lo mein) but it was a stewy stir fry of veggies and maybe I came on an off day but that one dish was flavorless and visually unappealing. Will try more things here when the craving arises. Give em a try!
Update: I ordered Lo mein this time and it was exactly what I wanted. Thanks for the consistently tasty food!

It hits the spot when you need Chinese food and you don’t wanna go very far. The food isn’t that great but it’s pretty good for being downtown Deerfield. Service is great. Food comes quick. There’s only two tables and four chairs total so it’s not really a great place to eat inside. We only have the fried rice so I can’t give it a true honest review because that’s all we had, but the fried rice was pretty lacking in flavor and not very fried.

We heard about this place from friends who said we shouldn’t be deterred by the reviews (which are dated). Our friends couldn’t have been more right – Excellent food at excellent prices. Delivery was faster than the quoted time and the food was so hot we needed to wait a few minutes. Definitely our “go to” Chinese place. Chow fun and moo shu pork are excellent. Great egg rolls too.

After ordering takeout, I am able to leave my absolute honest review. Staff are friendly; appears to be a family owned business. Some dishes are good, especially the rangoons. Quality of the food is great and its always hot and fresh. My only complaint would be a slight lack of flavor in some dishes however it doesn’t take away any points for me as we can all agree, food is great.

Their consistency with preparation guarantees the same great taste every time we order. Such a big selection of food to choose from gives me affordable and yummy options regardless of what my taste might be at the time. New China has been our go-to for Chinese food for a long time, we always come back for more.

Decent food, close to my house. Strange thing though… I ordered online, and when I went inside to pick up my food, the guy just stared at me not saying anything. So, I said my name, and he silently handed me my bag, then just stared at me as I left. I wouldn’t call it rude customer service, more like the complete absence of customer service.
Anyway the order was correct (except I didn’t want utensils but got them anyway) and the food was hot and decent, so I will be back, prepared for a Thorazine zombie experience.

I’m new to the area, and I’ve tried all of the Chinese around here. I just tried this one tonight and my husband and I absolutely loved it. We had the beef and brocolli and Mongolian chicken. Both were great but the beef and broccoli was amazing. They have a generous amount of food! It was tender and cooked perfectly and the delivery was so fast.
