We bought dinner from New China restaurant at Jericho Turnpike on 12/20/25 and it contained a dead insect in it. My kid wasn’t feeling well and threw up afterwards. When we returned to them at restaurant, the staff was also not seeming healthy as the guy at the counter was a school-age kid who kept coughing and sneezing all over the place. There was no remorse shown when reporting the issue.

The food from here was severely undercooked. I had just received the order and decided to cut into one of the pieces of General Tsos and Sesame Chicken. Pink as can be. Not only was the food unsafe to eat, but how am I to know that all the other food ordered was cooked to the proper temperature. This is incredibly unacceptable and I will not be ordering from this restaurant again.
If I die from food poisoning, this is the restaurant to blame.
I thought Covid was the only thing to fear, now I need to be fearful of mediocre undercooked chicken.

I wanted some Chinese food for lunch and I placed an order through DoorDash. I ordered their lunch special General Tso chicken with pork fried rice and their Taro milk tea. First, the packaging was well done. They placed all the sauces and utensils in a zip lock bag. My food was placed in a nice sized container and it was still hot.
The taro milk tea was decent, just a bit watery. Also the pork fried rice was served with yellow rice and usually it’s not. The chicken was good and it wasn’t dry. Overall, the food was filling and I did enjoy it for my lunch. Price isn’t bad if you order from the lunch special menu. (10am-3pm)

I got a general tso’s chicken combo with pork fried rice, egg rolls and steamed dumplings. the steamed dumplings were decent but the egg roll and general tso’s just tasted like oil. The pork fried rice was hard.

Worse delivery guy ever!!!! The guy rang my bell and left my food on the floor!!! The bag was open and everything was wet inside the bag actually ripped when I went to pick it up. When I called the store they said to send them a picture I did and I have not heard nothing. I want a full refund plus the tip that I gave the delivery guy!!!!
Also the entire point of ordering out is so that people do not have to cook. My food came cold and my kids chicken and egg rolls came burnt! It will be a cold day in hell before I order from here again!

First off lets be fair, this is a Take Out place so there is no Atmosphere to speak of for dine-in.
Been ordering take out from this place as and been having good result over the years.
The secret to having good food from any Chinese Take Out Food is you need to know which dishes are their specialty. It kind of a try and error approach usually, but sometimes just ask the chef or the cashier what are they favorited dish and give them a try.
Surely you can get adventurous but keep in mind it is like is then an unknown adventure.
I recommend this place’s General Tao’s Chicken as it is a staple dish there. Also their Garlic Chicken is another good choice that comes with variety of vegetables and spicy sweet favors and aromatics.
Love the Egg Roll, tasty and crunchy. Shrimp Fried Rice and Lo Mein are also good choices there.
If you want really spicy, go for Singapore Mei Fun! I actually would mixed with other noodle to tamp the favor, but it sure is spicy and tasty also!
Service is your typical take out place but still friendly enough. There people works long hours and open even during most holidays, it’s usually a family business. I am a big supporter of these non-franchised mom and pop businesses, that seems to be getting fewer and fewer every year…
Over all thumbs up good food and always open when the need arises.

Ordered sesame chicken with white rice combo plate. Started to eat the food and noticed a black hair in it. Once i called new china, they pretty much didn’t seem concerned on the phone at all nor offered me a refund. 13$ in the garbage. Back to looking for a new Chinese food place
