Food was great. Wait was terrible. I came in to place my order and waited 30 minutes for noodles and crab rangoon. I honestly would have left if I hadn’t already paid. 10 people waiting in line with me for over 20 minutes to pick-up their call in orders that were suppose to be ready. I understand it was busy but do better. Had I been quoted 30 minutes I would have never placed my order.

On a Trip from STL to Illinois to score some motorcycle parts , I got really hungry. So glad I found this place. The lunch special is a killer deal at $8, we each got a different one. The dishes were beef and broccoli, garlic chicken, and orange chicken (my favorite). Everything was delicious, perfectly flavored, cooked to perfection and authentic. New Canton reminded me of my days living in the SF Bay area going to local Chinese spots. It’s a nice little hole in the wall location with no frills that doesn’t try to be pretentious, just a down to earth atmosphere with an emphasis on good food! Will definitely ride out here for another meal.

Great for a quick lunch! Beef and Broccoli is awesome, some of the best sauce I’ve had in a while! Spring rolls and egg rolls are delicious as well! Orange chicken is definitely also a great choice, can actually taste some orange in the sauce and still crispy!

Very good general tso combo! I really like the option of wonton or egg drop soup instead of spring rolls. The egg drop soup was really good. Got the lunch portion of Gen tso and it was delicious! Fried rice was good, but the chicken was cooked just right. Honestly some of the better Gen tso I’ve had. A lot of converse places the chicken is minimal and mostly the exterior breading, but this was mostly full chicken with the expected exterior also. Cooked to order, not sitting around on a heating pad. All that for just under $10 with tax, win! You should try it! I’ll be back

Not sure what happened but my latest experience here was not good. No one in the party of 5 cared for what they got that much. And there was a variety of dishes. I will chalk it to up to a bad night and try them again, as I believe we all have bad days occasionally. It wasn’t terrible, it just wasn’t that good. With all the food we ordered, I was expecting a mistake…..nope, the order was perfect. And the woman at the counter was friendly. So, yea, they deserve another chance.

This will be the last time I ever go to this place! The workers in there are so hateful! You can’t even ask a question about a dish without them getting all bent out of shape over it! And acting in such a hurry and bothered by it! I can’t be the only one that thinks this about this place because I have never picked up an order from this place from anyone nice! You would think they would want to keep business instead of loosing it! I will never spend another dime in a business that doesn’t appreciate their customer’s a little kindness goes a long way and they sure need to learn it here!

We love New Canton. We get food from there probably once or twice a month. The portions are generous, so we are usually able to make two or three meals out of it, so definitely worth the money for us. If you are eating it all in one sitting it might be a little pricey.
