Good food and friendly service. My wife said it was her new favorite place! We drove about 45 minutes to get here. It doesn’t have much seating but I would definitely return. I had one pork chop instead of 2 but got the 4 shrimp to try them. My wife had the salmon.

I called early in the day and asked if they could prepare a meal for the nineteen of us. It was on the day they normally have their fried chicken special so they were already going to be busy and I was asking for them to have it prepared for us to pick up. They said it was no problem. We had chicken, corn, green beans, mashed potatoes, fried potatoes (because I love them), and rolls. Everything was delicious and everyone in our group agreed, we have all already decided when we come back for our next family get together New Boston Tavern is definitely on our list of places to eat. Great food, Great people. Definitely a jewel when your looking for a place that isn’t a chain restaurant that has that down home feel.

We came into town on Tuesday to spend the week at holiday world, we were tired and hungry with a two year old. We found this place on a search and decided to give it a try.
The drive from Santa Claus to new Boston was beautiful, we even got to see some wildlife.
The six of us all tried different items on the menu. The teens had cheeseburgers and shared a side of tater tot’s, grandma had fried oysters and tacos, dad had the tacos and I had the 21 shrimp basket and my 2 year old had the chicken strips. The portions were big and the price was sooo cheap! The tacos were filled with meat and chicken and not just filled up with the veggies. The fried oysters were big and delicious, chicken strips were huge, 21 shrimp basket was delicious and the fries were enough for my daughter myself and dad to all share. We went to another establishment Thursday evening and we all really wished we would have came back to New Boston for the pork tenderloin and another yummy meal.
Waitress was patient with my 2 year old as was the rest of the clientele. For the 6 of us to eat not including tip the total was $60 and we had full bellies and leftovers. Highly recommend this hidden gem!
