New Bohemia – St. Paul

  4.4 – 873 reviews  $$ • Restaurant

New Bohemia Wurst and Bier House is the transformation of a traditional bier hall into what we like to call the “New American Craft Bier Hall” pouring 36 of the finest local and International Craft beers in the country. New Bohemia features over 24 different all natural sausages made from whole cuts of meat, no artificial flavoring, and zero nitrates. Our sausages are made right here in Minnesota. Buns and pretzels made by hand in the traditional German style. Fries are hand-cut everyday and all sauces, mustards and topping are made fresh in every restaurant.

I huge venue that’s great for pre-concert drinks and food. I wasn’t a huge fan of my lamb bratwurst, but the burger and fries were pretty good. You will pay a premium being close to the Xcel energy Center but it certainly is convenient! They have a huge selection of local and nonlocal brews. Service was friendly enough and decently efficient. We were there before a John Mayer concert, and they were tailoring the music to the crowd which was a nice touch.

Awesome place with wide selections of local draft beers! Very very tasty brats/bratwursts/sausages and buns. Stuff is very friendly and welcoming. Pricing is reasonable. Definitely worth visiting!

Excellent food, creative menu, great service! My only feedback is please be aware that there are very few tables (or perhaps none…) that have backs or aren’t high tops, so if you or a travel companion have a disability that require you to be in a wheelchair or not sit at a high top without a back, this may be an issue.

Great place to eat that is different than most other restaurants… known for their Brats… tons of options. We started with their amazing Mega-Pretzel. Nice pretzel crust with a delicate and fluffy internal, served with their jalapeno cheese dip (addicting). My wife had the Chicken Apple Brat… loved it. I had the New Orleans Cajan Andouille Brat. Toppings galore to choose from. My wife Jihima Apple Slaw (loved it). I added peppers and onions. For $5 more you can make you brat a meal (fries and a beer). The Fries are a special treat in and of themselves. Admittedly the beer choices for the meal deal are limited, the choices separate from the meal are amazing. Craft brews with alcohol content up to nearly 15%. I had ONE. Two would have meant my wife driving. But very very good. Everything was made fresh. Our only letdown was the chicken fingers-which seemed store bought. The atmosphere is very relaxed. Weather allowing, they open up the walls to the outside. Big screen TVs everywhere. Service was great and very helpful with choices. I’ve been to both the St Paul and Golden Valley locations – both equally great.

This was a fun place. The area looks lively. The service was fast. Beers are good. The fries are a must. The brats are good as well. It shares a space with Seven Street truck park so that’s very convenient.

Just went out for some drinks with family. First time there and it was karaoke night. Great atmosphere, the crowd was fun, bartenders were nice. I will be going again with friends.

Great variety of beer, 36 on tap. We were in town for a Wild Game: it was convenient and understandably packed. Tap service was still quick and the food coming out looked amazing (we didn’t eat).

Great sausages and brats with multiple flavors of spicy mustard to top then off with. They also have a nice selection of toppings for your brat on the menu too (see the picture of the menu). For the adventure diners, some of the brat selections include elk, alligator and rattlesnake. The icing on the cake is a huge selection of craft beer to wash it all down – what’s not to like!

Their adventurous wursts were amazing. We had Ostrich and Wild Boar w/apricot. And the fries – OMG. The Mango Curry Ketchup was so yummy.
