We went here for the first time just recently and we were not disappointed. The waitress was very friendly and tentative. The food was really good. We had a fish dinner and a steak dinner. We bought 2 pieces of their chocolate pie with peanut butter frosting to take home for dessert. Overall, good food, good portions, reasonable prices. I would definitely recommend this place!!

Friendly little neighborhood eatery. Good selection, especially for seafood. A diner with pictures of horses and horseshoes, and a good place to sit and have a good meal. Nothing super fancy, but very friendly.

My Husband and I went for the 1st time on our date night Friday night. We both got the taco salad in the edible bowl. The service was phenomenal! We mentioned that we love fish fry but wasn’t going with that that day. So our waitress knowing it was our first time talked with the owner and she sent out a large piece of fish so we could try!! We both loved it!! Not too greasy and a great flavor on the coating. Very friendly and customers seemed to know one another and staff. It was like one big family. I made a suggestion to deep fry banana peppers. The waitress addressed this with the owner. She loved the idea and we were told they were going to try that the next week. So they ARE open for suggestions. Which I thought was great!!! They do close at 8 pm but I think on Fridays and Saturdays maybe stay open a bit longer. It was clean and refreshing for us to try a new place we’ve never been to and feel so comfortable all while eating comfort food. Pricing we thought was great. We had the huge taco salads and combo fried platter and his Dr Pepper I had water. It all cost 49$ where most places we would pay over 60-70$. We brought some fried food home and were both stuffed!!!!!! Thank you New beginnings for a great first time experience!!!! Matt and MeMe

Decided to stop for a quick lunch on a rainy day. I had been in this restaurant years prior and really enjoyed, as well as when it was the bowling alley way back. To say that I was highly disappointed is an understatement. Something has changed. The food wasn’t bad, but not worth the cost of the item. The service was horrible. While I cannot speak for every person employed there, my waitress was not attentive at all. We sat for quite a while before the order was placed. After, the food arrived fairly quickly, but there was no checking back to see if we needed anything. After we finished eating we had planned to get pie however, after waiting 45 minutes we changed our minds. When finally approached about needing anything more we just asked for our bill. It was then another half hour before she came back with that. I will not be eating here again. What was meant to be a quick lunch very quickly turned into hours.

Great place for breakfast. Maybe a little pricey for lunch and dinner. Food tastes homemade. Ashley is a great waitress, incredible memory for details to please customers.
