We enjoyed our experience here. The eggnog (rompope) paleta (popsicle) was great. Huge selection of milk and water based popsicle options to choose from. This place was a nice find in small town KY. The staff was super friends and kind.

Neveria Y Paleteria 5 De Mayo is within walking distance of my home, and it’s honestly one of my favorite parts of living in such a unique location in this charming little town. My 8-year-old daughter & I love to stop by here on our scooters when we are either heading to or from the epic new skatepark or the super fun splash pad at La Grange Springs Park…it’s also really close to the Alley Loop Historic District Walk & literally within view of the lovely “Be Kind” Mural, which is an adorable photo opportunity! So in terms of the perfect ice cream experience, literally every flavor I’ve ever tried is mouthwatering & we find ourselves later craving the delicious-ness. The first time I went there, I got a big scoop of strawberry cheesecake & also “Ferrero Rocher”…that combo slaps so hard! I also loved the cookies and cream flavor with a scoop of pistachio…my daughter prefers the cool-looking ice pops or any sorbet…she tends to choose the strawberry or mango last time we went, they recommended the ice cream flavor “Memay” and let me just say, it was a full blown winner for both my daughter and I. They tempted us with sample bites & we both fell in love with it…it’s a MUST TRY!! It’s basically a melon (similar to a flavor like almond with avocado-like texture)…apparently it’s often compared to a brown sugar-covered sweet potato, with notes of pumpkin, caramel and cantaloupe. SO FREAKING GOOD!! There’s nothing quite like it & we would have never known its existence without this awesome little spot & the friendly, helpful workers who introduced it to us.

Neveria always delivers!
My personal favorite is the Chile Mango Popsicle. It is mouth altering. Truly. No matter what you order, you can not go wrong!
The ambiance is cozy and staff friendly! Make the trip out to La Grange, you’ll thank me!

Drove out to check out this local shop as I was craving some Latin-style popsicles. For my first visit, this place did not disappoint. From your typical nachos and corn in a cup options to your popsicles and mangonadas, they were all here. Popsicles are made in house and hit the spot. Aside from the need to be a little better kept, this place was great! Look forward to coming back soon and checking out some of the other options.

Forgot to take photos as we ate the delicious ice cream too fast! Really liked the flavor of Ferraro Roche and liked the ability to try samples before choosing one. Good portion sizes and pricing, nice location too.

Really cool mom & pop ice cream shop! Right in downtown Lagrange.
My family & I had an assortment of ice cream.
Pina colada
Mint chocolate chip
Coconut.
& Sampled even more. . . . There wasn’t one flavor that we didn’t enjoy.
With Hispanic roots, the family who started this store brought a taste of Mexican treats to the bluegrass.
We will definitely be back.
