I brought my French Father in-law here as he wanted a good steak and this was nearby. He was very satisfied with everything and was even impressed by their wine list and I couldn’t agree more. Delicious food in a very calming atmosphere. They even accommodated my wife who’s vegan and was nervous about asking for that special request. The waiter encouraged her to speak up when she wants something and I fully supported his encouragement. Great experience overall, will take my mother there in the near future

Nice fine dining experience in an unexpected spot near BART. There is a private parking lot in the back and street parking. The restaurant looks like a converted Victorian home, and the inside is nice and calm, not pretentious or loud like some fine dining spots. One man served as host, waiter, and bussing person. The service was attentive and friendly. He gave great wine pairing recommendations. The food was delicious. Our favorites were the steamed clams and rack of lamb. The sauce that the clams came in was scrumptious, and we requested more bread to soak up all that tasty sauce. The rack of lamb was tender and well seasoned, not gamy at all. The prices are very reasonable, and the portions are good. Neumanali is now on our list of places to go to when celebrating a special occasion.

Restaurant in a converted house with great ambiance for a quiet and romantic meal. Our grilled salmon and rack of lamb was delicious. However service was underwhelming. Only one staff served both as maitre’d and server. Service was officious and impersonal. There was no gracious welcome, orders were placed at our table without comment, never inquired if we needed anything else or if we were enjoying our meal; we had to ask for water glasses to be refilled. I ordered dessert and I ordered coffee, but others at the table was not asked if they wanted coffee. The plates were removed from the table without permission or comment nor any comment made when the bill was placed on the table. After the credit card transaction was made, no thank you. We would have better enjoyed the service provided by a talking robot. Had always wanted to dine at this restaurant. Glad I done it, but not again.

The waiter was rude, completely ignored me and clearly thought I didn’t belong there because I’m not white. He conversed well with everyone else at the table but certainly feels my skin color doesn’t belong at that place. Don’t do reservations if you can’t seat your guests! And like the other reviewers wrote, there is some anti non white sentiments going on at this place. Waiter/host seems like he does not want to be there.
