It’s my second time here. I can solo without a reservation and sat the bar. I always recommend this place to anyone in dc who wants a well balanced drink and fun experience. I got the illicio (gin cocktail) the bartender, Ori even offered to smoke it for the photos. The drink was refreshing and tasted like blueberry muffin. I got the Nero’s revenge since I love mezcal and it was tart with the lemon but balanced sweetness. Lastly I got the orbis (bourbon) drink that was the sweetness cocktail but boozy. I did get a small bite, the meatballs. Very filling and tasty – no notes.

Sabina, their speakeasy located downstairs, was nice. Their food, cocktails, and service were great. The food served in the speakeasy are only small plates but still very good. Overall the vibe is a nice, intimate setting.

We went in last weekend, it quickly became out new cocktail spot. Tried the Ilicio, Fig whisky sour and Chai espresso, they are amazing and you can see that the bartenders put a lot of effort on them. Service is really good, everyone is super friendly and dedicated.

All of the food and drink options were elevated and delicious and the wines on tap is such a fun concept. Coordinating with Vik was a breeze, he’s very hospitable and accommodating. Our bartender, Ari, was the best and helped us out the whole night. We love this place!

It’s Mr Speakeasy at another Speakeasy. Nero is a nice, relaxing bar that deals with specialty drinks, wine and more. Bridget, ori, crystal and ashley was fantastic. Definitely made the experience fun. Did I mention the drinks were fantastic?

This review is for Sabina, the speakeasy underneath Nero. Coming in was pretty cool, the door looks like a continuation of the brick wall. Once inside, the venue is intimate, quaint, and dark with loud club music playing. The staff was friendly enough and interestingly dressed… we appeared to be in a swinger’s club based on everything we had seen and experienced thus far.
Their cocktail list was rather small and they also didn’t seem to have much in stock in the way of rum or other items we sought. Very few of the cocktails listed appealed to me, so I chose one on a whim and it was so sickly sweet that I actually felt sick after drinking it. We ultimately just were one-and-done here and headed out.
The vibe was great, but that was about it.
