The food and service was great! There was some food people watching too! The Philly cheesesteak was delicious as was the brownie a la mode. Our waitress was super sweet!

In-season the food has been OK, but I just went in mid-February and was very disappointed. The choice was hamburger, fried fish or fried shrimp, all with fries or onion rings. I ordered the fried fish and it was OK, but really skimpy for $19. Just a single small flounder filet – really a snack. It is mostly a dive bar, as the name says, with a lot of regulars around the bar talking loudly. There was also only three beers on tap, and no ipa.

Amazing, amazing, amazing!! If you are looking for a down home feel, friendly staff, and great food this is your stop! Great drinks and staff that makes you feel like regulars even if you’re only here for a week. Shrimp were Fantastic! Steamed muscled, full of flavor! Mahi tacos, on a fresh corn tortilla, so light and filling! We will definitelybe back to visit this place anytime we are in the area!!

We always travel to the Outer Banks in a large group. Every year, we find a restaurant and have one final night meal. This time, we ended up at Neptune’s. It wasn’t without an adventure though We went to two other restaurants, neither of which were accommodating for our group (one of whom is temporarily handicapped, which sadly is why we had issues with 2 restaurants before this one).

For starters, Camilla (I hope I have her name correct) was attentive right off the bat. Noticing our large table, she came right over for our drink orders. We were annoying, we were particular, and we of course had to tell her about how we were breaking up the checks. This was a non issue for her. We got our drinks quickly, and our appetizers were right behind it. The second she saw I liked the house made ranch, she brought me 3 more (with to go lids!!!!)

When we got our meals, we were already dang near full from our SHARED appetizers. 4 bites from my AMAZING chicken sandwich, and I couldn’t hang anymore.

My husband had the fish po boy and shrimpies. My friends had the cheesesteak, burger, fish tacos, fried fish and chips (BTW the fried fish is straight up flounder), crab legs, and…. I dunno what else. But I gotta say, my snobby seafood eating friends were floored with how amazing everything was. Which, is very much a compliment.

Before we left, we had to bug Camilla to take our group photo. She happily obliged, and out the door we went.

Too long, didn’t read: GO HERE. the staff rocks, the food rocks and the drinks are amazing. We can’t wait to visit again.

We ended up here for dinner tonight after failing to get in at a couple other places. We were not disappointed. We encountered a short wait upon entering and our ears were greeted with live music with Saxophone. Overall the atmosphere was fun and enjoyable. The food was excellent and flavorful. We started with the crab soup which was fantastic. We moved on to the blackened Mahi tacos, fried shrimp and calamari, and the shrimp basket. All of the was tasty, we enjoyed every bite. Stop by and have a drink and enjoy the music. I highly recommend this place if you find yourself in OBX.

While the name says “Dive Bar” it’s really your local neighborhood restaurant and tavern.

Don’t expect “fancy” or an extensive menu, but think fast, friendly service, decent food and acceptable prices.

Everyone was great [Howard behind the bar, Camilla and Reasha serving, and “mayor” Ronnie] and really make you feel welcome.

We’ve been back several times and will continue whenever we’re on the Outer Banks.

The tacos are great, good muscles, and surprisingly good hush puppies. The window sills really need cleaned in fact the entire place needs a good scrub and more waitresses. Will go back.

Amazing!! The fried calamari was the best I’ve ever had. And the fried oysters were amazing. Fries were awesome! Highly recommend trying this place when you’re in the OBX.

BEST RESTAURANT I HAVE EVER BEEN TO! I don’t usually leave reviews but this place deserves one. I wish I could rate it higher than 5 stars. My boyfriend and I went here for dinner last night and the service, food and atmosphere were all a 10 out of 10. Best burger I have ever had and best shrimp my boyfriend has ever had. Did not get any drinks but from what I saw, they all looked amazing. There are many different food options and as someone who doesn’t eat fish, I was pleasantly surprised with how many options they had besides seafood. The food came out very quickly from the kitchen which was great. Extremely friendly staff. Definitely recommend this place if you want to watch the sunset. Could not stop smiling the whole time I was there. Will have to come back again some day!

Great food and atmosphere! If you want a view of the sunset and amazing food go here. I always order mussels as the appetizer and it’s so good with a great portion for 2. I recommend getting the fish tacos, I don’t know what they do but those are addicting!
