I’m genuinely confused at the mixed reviews, I’m guessing maybe it’s because people come in with different palates & experiences when it comes to Nepali cuisine?
I came here with my desi friend, and we absolutely loved it. The service was amazing, the waiter was very attentive. It was also a clean environment, which i appreciated.
The mango lassi was SO good omg. I ended up ordering a second one
We both got & shared steamed chicken momos, Daal Makhani, Paneer/Chicken Tikka Masala, and Chana Masale. I don’t have a good spice tolerance while my friend is the opposite. The waiter did a very good job in helping us find dishes that would satisfy both our needs.
The garlic naan?? OMGGG. Out of this world. It was super greasy but SO SO good!!!!
This place is definitely one of those places where you can get a couple dishes to share. The amount we got was more than enough for 2 people, we ended up taking a lot of it home.
I definitely recommend this place!!

Really great tasting food. Loved the lamb curry best. I wish the tandoori was a little more spicy.

This is the first time we came here at Nepal House at 2601 W. Devon Ave, Chicago. The place is clean and friendly, and the food is amazing. The lady who served us was very hospitable and gave us all the recommendation. If you are here please try Chicken Steamed Mo:Mo and Chicken Chilli. We will come here again!

The food was decent overall, though generally a bit undersalted for my taste. The momos had great flavors but were overcooked judging from the broken wrappers. The sauce served with them was peppery rather than the tomato-based version pictured. Though wasn’t bad, it was unexpected. The shrimp chili masala was packed with bold flavors and a great amount of heat, an absolute hit with garlic naan. The tandoori chicken was nicely smoky and juicy, but the lack of salt left it tasting flat.

Our lunch was outstanding! The chicken biryani was extra spicy (as requested), had fresh-ground spice flavors, and was presented in a standout multi-color display. The goat chilli was rich and peppery with perfectly prepared basmati as a side. Our onion naan was delicious, a meal in itself! The lime pickle and raita also excelled in flavor. All in all, an experience I will enjoy repeating again & again.

Super tasty food but what a desapointment on the rice. Instead of Basmati I received long American grain thick rigide grain compare to indian Rice no flagrance really ruined our meal which was great
Chicken Kahdai and goat curry.
Also the naam bread was way too thick looks like a pillow. supposed to be thin and Crispy
Desapointed

I am a fan of Indian food and all the different flavors and spices they have, it’s always a good mix. The only problem we’ll always have it’s that it’s very spicy hot, and my wife can’t enjoy it. I like spicy food, but the one here got me. I won’t say I didn’t like it, because it was really good, it was just too much for me
