I came in for lunch thinking I would order tacos, but opted for the cheesesteak flatbread which was both unconventional and delicious. The flatbread tasted very fresh and was perfectly grilled. The vinaigrette added a nice touch of acidity and the “cheese pull” was insane! My husband ordered one of the alambre dishes and was very happy with it. We also ordered chips and guacamole which we quickly devoured. Our server told us that they had just made the guacamole, and it was truly excellent. We wish we lived a little closer to this spot, but it’s totally worth the drive for our future visits!

Checked out this local to us place the other night and were overall happy with it. Nothing fancy but the service was attentive. A good variety on the menu but we went with a combo for 2 ( basically what’s called a molcajete in other places) and shoud be here being as that’s what they served it in. But anyway as typical of protein served in a volcanic piping hot stone vessel they just overcook. That already being a given the food is plentiful, flavourful and welcome. They serve enough on the side with rice, beans, tortillas and guacamole that it was enough for the 2 of us. We brought a bottle of wine as it’s a BYOB place but here is a tip for anyone checking it out. Bring a bottle of rum or better yet tequila as they serve peach and strawberry banana frozen drinks on-site which would mix perfect with a good spirit like those. We will be back for sure.

A nice little place with moderate food.
We visited this place for lunch after our tiring hike from Wyanokie High point. Craving for Mexican food was satiated but only disappointment was they didn’t have guacamole. We chose a Mexican restaurant mainly for the guac and chips. That was a show stopper for us.
For appetizers we ordered Coliflor Al Fuego. It was a decent steamed and roasted little spicy starter.
For the mains I ordered the Chilaquiles Rancheros. A pretty good dish with really good portion of grilled Chicken, runny egg, fried tortillas in red sauce topped with some cheese and rice & beans on the sides. Again in this dish the rice was not fresh. It was cold and some grains were even dry. But apart from the rice I enjoyed all other items in my plate.

Such a cute little spot. We went for lunch and got the empanadas, spicy mac and cheese and tacos. Everything was delicious.

Great Mexican fare! Where locals go get there fill of great authentic dishes. It’s BYOB so bring your own libations!

Everything is extra. The chips and salsa ( which tastes like tomatoe soup) $5.45. If you want a burrito add 50 cents each for the following including: corn lettuce, jalapenios, pickeled onions, bacon, and $1.00 each for avacodos, queso fresco, crema, guacamole, pico, and $1.50 for a fried egg. Also at the end when you get the bill you are presented with almost a 4 % penalty for paying by credit card. It would be nice to have a sign on the front door

Menu states “homemade guacamole” for $14 which in texture, taste and appearance is literally the same as store bought if not worse. That’s extremely disappointing. Shrimp tacos were mediocre at best. $30 wasted. Bummer!

Ordered from Nene’s Cocina for the first time today. Very pleased with the quality of the food and service. The chicken was cooked to perfection, moist and tender, and the steak was flavored well but a bit over cooked. The prices are very fair, especially when the portions are huge!! We will be ordering from them again. So excited that a good Mexican restaurant is in town!

This place has absolutely vibrant and tasteful food. The service is excellent and prompt. Prices are good. The one and only reason it doesn’t get 5 stars and to be honest it’s silly, but there really isn’t a great place to park. Other than that, it’s all great. I parked across the street at the apartment complex. There are no prohibitive signs, so it worked, but who knows if you are actually allowed to. Once you find a spot, this place is definitely worth it.
