Some of the best NYC style pizza in Chicagoland! They have a couple different locations including Zazas. The giardinera pie might be the best crossover between nyc and Chicago they let you do half pizzas of anything you want which is def a perk.
Every time we’ve been in we have our entire meal in 20 minutes or less – super quick.
People are also really nice too. See ya next time!

New York style pizza without having to travel. Recently moved to the Chicago land area from NY about a year ago and have been searching for a place with pizza as good as back home. Definitely check this place out, they’ve got a killer traditional pepperoni pie as well as specialty pies that are creative. We went with a half pepperoni half bacon jam pie and damn the pie was absolute fire . Also worth a try for an appetizer are the garlic twists. Their pesto dipping side was incredible and definitely made in house.
Katie was our server and she was very kind, personable, and attentive. I love that she gave her personal reccomendations and was relatable. She made our first time here a memorable experience. Thanks Katie and Nemec Brothers Pizzeria!!

Walked in about 3:30pm on a Saturday and got a table for 4 straight away. The by the slice options were limited by then, but we ordered a whole Hot Honey Grandma style and a white slice as well as their funky Caesar salad. . The pizza was ready in about 15 mins, but the salad was actually pretty awesome, the miso sauce and sesame seeds just made it pop and so fresh! The pizza base was crispy but not too much for this style. Ingredients were tasty and the fresh basil and piped on ricotta made it divine. Highly recommend!

Pretty good slices! Ordered some pies for a family birthday and they didn’t disappoint. Kept hearing all the buzz about this place so we decided to finally check them out. Excellent first time experience. Cheers!

I feel kinda guilty about loving this place so much considering that Barone’s is the community staple Chicago Tavern-Style pizza that everyone in Glen Ellyn has grown up loving.
I moved back into Glen Ellyn excited to have Barone’s pizza back in my life. Then I spotted this NY-Style pizza spot and gave it a shot.
My God it’s so good.
Is this that thing where you try to not have a favorite child and try and grow your capacity to love them all the same?

First things first. I’m not a red sauce pizza person. I need a really good pizza to blow me away so I typically eat the white pizzas if I’m going to spend $20+ dollars, otherwise just give me Dominoes. I’ve had other designer pizzas that have been scrumptious so I was really looking forward to see what all the hype was about.
My friends took me here and while it was good, I didn’t think it warranted $30 for bread, oil, and cheese. But, since it was good, I want to go back and try the truffle pizza. I will say the garlic knots were out of this world!

First time at the Nemec Brothers Pizzeria with my wife!
I saw a reel on TikTok that stated this place sells Halal Pepperoni Pizzas so we had to stop by and try it!
We were greeted immediately by the staff and given menus by the very kind waitress.
The pizza shop has a nice ambiance with decent amount of seating upstairs and downstairs.
For our appetizer we ordered the Garlic Twits which were drenched in butter and Parmesan cheese plus for the main pie we did NYC style half cheese and half halal pepperoni.
Pizza was good and fresh and is worth trying if you are in the downtown Glen Ellyn area.

We tried a Gold Medal Pie and a 1/2 Caruso Special and 1/2 Mike’s hot honey pepperoni. The pizzas were delicious, with excellent sauce and and tasty thin crust. The Caruso was a bit spicy but just the right amount. 2 pizzas were more than enough for 4 with leftovers to take home. Next time we’ll try some apps and dessert. Great atmosphere on the main floor and there is some additional seating downstairs. The Nemec Brothers lager was good also. Our server was super helpful and friendly. We’ll definitely be back!

This place definitely deserves the hype. We just had the “Za” pizza and I thought it was awesome they let us do half and half. We had half Gold Medal Pie (which is their classic fresh mozz and parmesan, garlic, sauce, olive oil and basil) and the other half was their Bacon Jam (which also had Calabrian chiles, red onion, scallions, and cotija cheese) Both were excellent and I really enjoyed having a more classic option paired with something more unique. The crust was pretty thin, but held up. The place is small but there were a few tables open on a Thursday night, so we were able to sit awhile and take our time. Even though it was small inside, I liked the laid back and intimate feel. The waitress was attentive and gave us recommendations. I drove about 45 mins for this and was not disappointed! Please come to the northern suburbs!

Editing my first review and adding a star. My very first order here was excellent. Traditional Cheese, crisp bottom, no flop, exactly what you want from a NY-style pie. Consistency waned for a few months, thus my prior 3* review, but my visit today (2/22/26) showed good improvement — very little flop, excellent crisp.
The Grandma’s has been consistently solid throughout the months, and the NY Cheese has improved greatly.
