I visited the store for the second time today when I was traveling through the area. Definitely a charming old time general store. The two young men working the store were very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. I had a classic bologna sandwich from their deli and it was quite good and very affordable. Overall a really nice nostalgic experience. The last time I bought some souvenirs and a tote bag that I still use for small lighting equipment.

Very much the Mom and Pop neighborhood small grocery store that once were so common, this one is definitely that, and a great stop along Route 66. Though small, the store has all the essentials you might need and as you shop you can also enjoy all the old images, memorabilia and nostalgia collected over the years. There is a little something of everything along the walls so one must look closely so as not to miss anything.

They also have a small area for Route 66 related gifts too. For those of you collecting passport stamps, they have those two. Plus they have copies of the Kansas Route 66 passport as well.

We also had a soda, chips, and sandwiches freshly made there that were delicious .

A fun stop, not to be missed, and I hope you also have a great time there too!

Best sandwiches around, when pie is available highly suggest you grab a piece. I’ve never been in there without being greeted, service with a smile and upbeat attitude, absolutely love the store. Worth a visit, and grab a Old sarsaparilla root beer or cream soda while you’re there too, they’re amazing!

We stopped here briefly and I asked the person making sandwiches if she could build on for me with every meat they sell except liverwurst…she said, Sure but it will cost more.” I said, “No problem, please make me one.” …the best sandwich I ever had! WOW! 🙂

This is basically a portal to yesteryear. I just love these types of shops that keep things small and simple. They have a little bit of everything. Deli, sandwiches, pie, candy, souvenirs, route 66 items, plants, seeds, grocery items, fountain and bottles sodas, and much more. Very friendly. A great 66 stop. I especially love all the knickknacks they have accumulated through the years, it’s a little mini museum. Just stop in, you won’t be disappointed.

Drove by this place several times, and finally stopped in to see what it was all about. The lady working that night was very nice and I really wanted to try one of the deli sandwiches, but had dinner recently. I plan to stop in very soon to get a deli sandwich and try the fountain drinks, as I heard they go a little easy on the syrup.

Stopped here for a little picnic deli style sandwich & found it to be very charming. The sandwich was delicious & fairly priced. Plenty of Route 66 souvenirs along with the general store. Worth the stop for sure.
