Came in on a Sunday afternoon to grab lunch with our family. We had a large group and tried to move a table 4ft to join the rest of our family. We were then very rudely told by the server not to move the tables because we might scratch the already scrached old wooden floor. We asked how we could join our family and then told we would have to sit apart from them or sit without a table around them. We ordered pizza which tasted like frozen cardboard pizza. We used to love coming to this esablishment during our visits to W. Island but will promptly skip it due the lack of courtesy from the wait staff and the awful food.

We had a great visit. Wife had a shot of Bitters for a 3 time club member. Sad to see it is up for sale. Some ppl need to have patience and less self absorbed attitude.

Food: deep fried cauliflower was tasty. Chicken wraps had fake Kraft single type cheese and two chicken tenders inside( frozen package style.)

The service was not good, at all. We had 8 people at our table. They were not busy. Our server handed 1 person the drinks to give to everyone at the table. We asked for plates for appetizers and she brought 4 plates. 1 drink of the 8 ordered (2 the same) took until we were about halfway done with our food. I definitely wouldn’t recommend going here.

Love coming here! The service by Ella bartending was outstanding! The New York Strip with mushrooms was great I have never had a bad meal here. This is a great place with history and character. This place is a must visit when coming to Washington Island!

You MUST stop in and have a shot of bitters and get your official bitters club membership card! Once you down your shot, stick your thumb in the bottom of glass and stamp your card, and sign the membership book! It was very cool! And we are now members of the world renoun bitters club!

At this point if you aren’t stopping at this place. You didn’t visit Washingtons island. This place is a town favotite and I can see why. The staff is super friendly and you also have to join the bitters club. I love the history behind it and the staff tells it so well. Do yourself a favor and join the bitters club. Then order yourself a nice brandy old fashioned. It’s so good, you’ll love it I promise.
