After ordering the Quesadilla Rellena for pick up, when I got home, the order was not vegetarian as per my dietary requirements. I was asked to pass by again and pick up the right order with no meat. Upon arriving to pick up the order, yet a second time, the hostess proceeded to tell me it would take another 5 minutes as she wasn’t certain if we would come to pick it up so she didn’t have it made.
Due to my health reasons, I have specific meal times. Had the order been right the first time, I wouldn’t be at a loss of funds, nor would I be at a loss of a meal. Absolutely do not recommend this place, not for the service, and the food — meh, mediocre.

This was a spur of the moment try because I thought I remembered good reviews on FB. This will def be our new go to for Mexican food. Huge menu selection, no complaints from drinks to bill. We left there talking about going back.

Great first experience at Nelos. My kids were going a little wild in there and the servers were incredible and really made it a lot easier. The food was excellent. Chips and salsa were a highlight, but the green sauce was incredible. I order the huevos rancheros and it did not disappoint. They have a decent vegetarian section and a few other veggie items sprinkled throughout the menu. Good drinks. It’s a little hole in the wall type spot so you probably won’t be wowed by the decorations, but the food is good and the service is great.
Oh and the prices are spectacular. Family of 4 are for under 40 bucks. Almost unheard of in this day and age.

We order take out a couple times a month, but the last two times have been awful. The food is never ready when its supposed to be, and its cold when we eat it. Not even luke warm, straight cold. And we only live about 5 minutes away. Guess we’ll start going back to one of the ones further in town.

Best salsa and prices in town. Everyone was friendly and our food came out fast. I had a Burrito Fajita the size of a football and it was delicious. I may not had ordered it, had I known how big it was since I hate wasting food and I didn’t think my remaining half burrito would make it another 5 hours in the car before I got home. My husband got the Guacamole Cesaro Especial w/ grilled shrimp and that was also huge and a great price for how much he got. He said it was the best he’s ever had. This will definitely be our new go-to whenever we’re in town.

Many authentic and Americanized Mexican food options to choose from
Their aguas jamaica (hibiscus), horchata (cinnamon rice milk) and pina (pineapple) come with free refills! – we tried the Hibiscus and Pineapple, both very refreshing.
We started with the guacamole casero (house guacamole – it’s made to order, the avocados in dish are thick chunks, we added jalapeños) it was also very fresh and filling!
We ordered the 12 plate taco special (disappointed they ran out of al pastor meat) it came with chicken (the kids loved it), asada (steak) & chorizo (mild sausage), it is served with the limes galore, sliced red radishes, 2 house spicy sauces, grilled nopales (cactus) & grilled whole onions with green shoots (these are a delicacy and not commonly found at restaurants and a definite MUST TRY)
We overzealously ordered another plate as well – the quesobirria (cheese & shredded lamb crispy tacos that are served with a tasty consume to dip the tacos in)
Our order took a bit long to arrive but the kitchen was in the midst of preparing a very large catering order to go when we arrived, all in all not a long time for the wait considering.
The service was fantastic and attentive, waitress was proficient in both English and Spanish.
Will definitely be back to try other menu items.

I’ve been a loyal customer of Nelo’s Mexican Restaurant for over five years, but my recent experiences have been increasingly disappointing. On several occasions, I’ve received spoiled sauces, and the food quality has declined. For instance, the hot sauce served with my tacos was sour and inedible, and the cactus side dish was overcooked and greasy. Additionally, I’ve noticed a concerning pattern of differential treatment towards Latino customers, including myself. It feels like the authenticity and quality of the food we receive is not the same as for other patrons. Despite bringing these concerns to the management, the issues persist. I hope the restaurant takes these matters seriously because it’s a shame to see a place with so much potential fall short in terms of food safety and customer care.

OMG! This is not Americanized fast food Mexican. The food was fresh and homemade. It didn’t appear or taste like heated frozen food. This was refreshing! Can’t wait to bring friends!
