The food is good and the service is great. Ms. Nella is always welcoming, kind and accomadating whenever I pick up my food; that never wavers. My only complaint is, this establishment has inconsistent hours. I always call in my order but there has been two incidents where I’ve called in, didn’t get an answer and just drove over as I figured they were busy. Lo and behold, they were closed despite the hours of operation posted on line. I wasted my time twice going down there. Now I know that if no one picks up the phone, they’re closed.

People working here are friendly, really old-fashioned friendly. The food is absolutely the best! This is definitely a hidden gem of the East Bay; once you come and enjoy the delicious catfish and chicken, you’ll keep coming back. I guarantee it!! Oh, did I mention the lemon cake? Outstanding!!

Perfect spot for some comfort food! The owner is amazing – kind and friendly, and so welcoming. I got the fish sandwich and I know I’ll be dreaming of it and craving it incessantly. Prices are fair; for me, I ended up having 2 meals out of it. Beautifully decorated, the food is cooked to order. If you’re debating it, just go for it – you’re bound to find something you’ll love!

The owner was so friendly and welcoming, and gave us free gumbo samples! Hole in the wall kind of vibe makes you feel like you found something special. All the food was amazing, we were all stealing off each other’s plates. We’ll be back!
