Delicious donuts here that are always made fresh and they are huge! Staff is friendly and accommodating. Prices are fair too.

Neil’s is my favorite place in CT. I live in NYC, but have family in Cheshire and I always come home with a big box of donuts. I think they’re far better than the bougie nightmare donuts they sell everywhere in NYC. Neil’s is classic and correct. Always fresh, flavorful, efficient and friendly, even through the Pandemic. I love the giant coffee roll too and the perfectly crispy bacon.

I heard about this shop on my Google feed calling it the best donut shop in Connecticut, and I don’t believe I’d disagree. The donuts look just as amazing in person as they do on the website, and the taste is out of this world! It’s just a small little shop, and it was very busy when I arrived at 7 am on a Sunday, but they had 6 people working the counter, so the orders were filled very fast. This was my first time coming here and it certainly won’t be the last. The maple bacon donut is phenomenal.

I keep going out of my way to try this place but unfortunately get disappointed every time, I genuinely do not get the hype…all the donuts I’ve gotten from here are always sickeningly sweet and very dry, I need multiple glasses of milk to wash down just one donut. Same applies for all their other pastries and cookies, everything is just very dry and crumbly and has artificial flavoring. My husband has had different flavored coffee multiple times here and says the same, it just tastes artificial.

Giving 3 stars because they’re very efficient and friendly and I always had a good experience coming here, but I guess the taste of the products just isn’t for me

I’m from Wallingford and lived there most of my life, I just never tried Neil’s untill this past couple days with my young sons. The donuts are amazing, the staff is friendly, the girl that took care of us both times is super sweet, but my God the patrons are complete animals and careless about almost trampling over my boys (6and almost 4)As I’m keeping them close to me, these animals literally were shoving and pushing into us; as I’m trying to order and finally pay. I had this person so close behind me, I had no space to even reach in my purse without purposely pushing back, because why and who stands over someone like that, is beyond me. While I’m shielding my son’s in the corner area of the register, like people in Wallingford will always be self-centered and stuck up, thats why I left. It’s a beautiful town, great homemade donuts at Neil’s, and breakfast sandwiches are top tier. The coffee is even amazing! But to have to shield my son’s was literally not apart of our trip today. Food is great tho, this isn’t the staffs fault, I’m not putting blame or negative comment towards them at all. I just hope a patron sees this and is more cautious of people with kids and learn about personal space and taking your turn with patience. Instead of pushing through little kids/mother’s with kids. I told my oldest, “what happened in there, you better not do to anyone, those people were not raised right” that was worse than a black Friday sale

Neil’s Donuts in Wallingford was great. Location was super busy with a line almost out the door. But, the line moved really quick! All employees looked to be in a good mood, smiling and providing friendly service. There are lots of Donuts to choose from. Good size on the donuts also. Tasted freshly made. Worth the visit.

The donuts are amazing! I am a really big fan of their breakfast sandwiches as well. My wife loves their coffee. However, I am not much of a coffee drinker. So, I can not comment much on that.

This place runs like a well oiled machine! It’s soooo chaotically busy and yet it moves so fast—and once you try the donuts, you get why it’s an insane hub of people. Wow! Best donuts ever.

The donuts are terrific, however if you order a dozen, they pile them on top of each other in a single box and glaze and frostings and powdered sugar make them all stick together.
Could barely pry them apart and could not serve them to guests as they were a mess when I tried to get them out of the box. 2 separate boxes would have easily solved the problem. Wish I had taken a photo.

I travel the U.S. 250 days a year and in my 10 years of doing so this is the best donut I have had! The only thing to be weary of is that the weekends get CRAZY busy and if you dont know what you want, by the time you get to order you can feel rushed (as my wife did) due to the small shop and how busy it is.
