Just amazing!!! The best breakfast spot. The cinnamon rolls are the absolute best touch, no where else can you get this. And they are so delicious. The service and staff are so kind and friendly. There will never be a better breakfast place in Lee’s Summit. Every single time I stop by I’ve always been treated like a friend and welcome company. The Foods great and so is the selection. I want to particularly mention how kind the staff is, the waitress Michelle is one of the best waitresses I’ve been served by. I will be back again and again as long as I’m in Lees Summit.

Been here a couple times. Great down-home place. Had the blueberry pancake–big, juicy blueberries (not the dried ones that are in a boxed mix), lots of butter & syrup. Fruit side was good, altho fruit could’ve been riper. Joslin M. is a great server–quick, efficient, always looking after her tables, pleasant, beautiful smile. Other staff is also great. Entrance is on left side of building, halfway back.

Oh I love a breakfast spot! This little place in downtown Lee’s Summit is a must! You get a hot and gooey cinnamon roll when you are seated with a menu. While the menu is mostly breakfast standards, the food is excellent and of ample portions.
The value is tremendous as well as leaving with a full tummy ready to have a day!

First time coming here. Ordered the breakfast tacos. Tacos were tasty, chorizo was of high quality and seasoned well. Was surprised in the complimentary cinnamon roll. I will definitely be back.

Complementary cinnamon roll which was good, kind service, variety of seating areas which helps if you have a small or large group, and good portion sizes. Little outdated inside but it was good food & service. Oh and coffee was good as well. Had steak and eggs and everything was great.

I used to come here and it was fine. I’ve ordered the chicken fried chicken before. I went with my best friend yesterday who has known me for 10 years and knows I’m a good eater. I eat a lot and I eat fast. But I couldn’t eat this. I mean who could? I don’t mean to sound rude here. Do you see this picture? The waitress was so sweet but I was speechless when she set it down and asked if everything looked okay. Are you seeing what I’m seeing? The chicken tasted cold, dry, and old. The mashed potatoes were cold too. The menu said it came with a vegetable but I had to ask for one. The corn tasted like it spent 1 minute on the stove top. Again it’s not the waitress and I tried to be so nice but this was a $15 plate. There was something wrong with the kitchen. She had it remade and it was warm that time and I ate the mashed potatoes and the chicken until my stomach actually felt queasy. I couldn’t eat the rest of the day which was shocking to me (I eat a lot!). I should have just said I wasn’t paying for it but I’ve never experienced food so bad I didn’t want to eat it. What was I supposed to do? I unfortunately will never come back again. I’m just shocked. I’ve ordered this very thing before and it did not look anything like this. Like look at this picture. A $15 plate. Shocking.

I’m a diner person at heart and love nothing more than a good, old-fashioned diner experience. Now, I have found one less than a mile from my home. Went in for a quick breakfast and could not have been more pleased with everything about this place. The food was great and very reasonably priced – fresh, warm cinnamon rolls at no charge were a wonderful start – and the service was as close to perfect as one could expect. Cannot wait to get back and try some of the other breakfast items as well as the many dishes on the lunch menu. Two enthusiastic thumbs up … and that’s because I only have two thumbs!!

Their Kitchen Sink was more than generous with its serving portions, and it came with a biscuit, but I had to get gravy on it (couldn’t resist on a cheat day). Chicken and waffle is a winner, too. You won’t leave Neighborhood Cafe hungry. Outstanding hospitality by the way – When I was going to the restroom, I had to pass through expo and was surprised and impressed that the staff gave way to their guests.
