Even without food, the highlight was clear: their espresso martini. I’ve had my fair share of them across Boston, but Ned Devine’s version stands out. Smooth, balanced, and not overly sweet, it had that perfect blend of coffee richness and a subtle creamy finish. It’s a beautiful sipper—strong enough to wake you up, smooth enough to keep you ordering another. You can tell they actually thought about the recipe instead of just throwing coffee liqueur into a shaker.
Service added to the experience. Our waiter, Juan, was fantastic—personable, quick with a joke, and attentive without hovering. He had that kind of charm that makes the whole table relax and enjoy themselves.
Even though I didn’t try the food this time, the vibe, drink quality, and service alone made it worth recommending. For anyone looking for a solid cocktail, a good seat with a view, and friendly service that feels genuine, Ned Devine’s hits the mark.
4.5 out of 5.
I would give less than zero stars. The bartender repeatedly left the bar unattended and did not serve customers properly. There were no signs stating that outside food was not allowed, including for people with special diets. An elderly family member and my youth daughter and son was treated rudely and yelled at for eating while 8 family members were actively purchasing drinks. No food options were offered beforehand. We left and spent $753 with a generous tip at Union Oyster House, where we received excellent service — ask for Lorena!
