Me and my husband were in town for the weekend and we wanted to check this place out. We had such a lovely time! Their bartenders were very kind and helpful when it came to recommendations as there were so many kinds of bourbon to choose from. We ended up ordering a pretzel and charcuterie board to snack on while enjoying our drinks. It was a perfect evening and we will be back!

NEAT Bourbon Bar is relatively new located in a strip mall off North Kings Highway. It’s got numerous seating areas from small tables to more intimate spaces with oversized chairs and sofas. Decor is leather, wood and old time photos to create the speakeasy feel. There are soooooooooo many bourbons to choose from. If you’re a bourbon drinker is definitely a place you’d want to check out. They also have a good cocktail menu featuring classics and speciality cocktails. I had a Kentucky Kickstart which was made with Old Forester 86, Chocolate Bitters, cold brew, Carolina cream and sugar. It was good, and fairly priced at $13. Food is also available but we didn’t order anything since we were just there for a night cap, although many patrons there also got food. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable.

This is one of the coolest boutique saloons ( and I use that term with the utmost respect) I’ve been. The atmosphere inside is warm, sleek, comforting, and so welcoming. It rivals any sort of specialty bar I’ve ever been globally. Their selection of bourbons and rye are unreal and deep. You can find any taste, texture, desire you want here. The most important part of NEAT is the wonderful folks behind the bar and serving folks. The specialists behind the bar are incredibly knowledgeable and are dead on right about their recommendations for drinks. You get to try, get advice, walk your own wants and they really are so well informed that they hit the mark on every drink served. On top of it all, they are just so down to earth, earnest and it’s just a pleasure to be there. I can’t recommend NEAT enough and if you are anywhere near Myrtle Beach like 60 miles and in, come here. You will be in for a treat and leave there like you were embraced by an old friend who knows their craft about bourbons, rye’s, whiskeys, and curated drinks. Thank to the folks at NEAT.

Here’s a Google-friendly version of your review, optimized for search but still sounding like a real human wrote it—not a bot:
We had a fantastic experience at NEAT Bourbon Bar in Myrtle Beach. The atmosphere was cozy and upscale—perfect for a relaxing evening out. The food was excellent—we tried the deviled eggs and shrimp cocktail, both fresh and delicious.
Their bourbon selection is one of the best we’ve seen in the area, and they also have great wine options as well as a full bar. I especially enjoyed the espresso martini—it was rich and perfectly crafted.
There was live music the night we visited, which really added to the experience. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and the service was top-notch.
If you’re looking for a cocktail or bourbon bar in Myrtle Beach with great drinks, small plates, and a comfortable, stylish setting, NEAT is a must-visit.

**AVOID THIS PLACE IF YOU WANT A PLEASANT EXPERIENCE**
THE MUSIC: After hearing mixed reviews, we looking forward to trying this new space ourselves! When we arrived at 8:30, the live music was extremely loud but the guy performing was good! It’s typical that live music is loud, so our party gritted our teeth, applauded the performance as needed, and looked forward to the end of the set at 9:00.
When the live music ended, the piped in music NEAT chose was even louder…. obnoxiously loud.
The space is dark and moody and very barren. It would make a great night club with bumping music but at 9:00 it’s too early to start rattling the rafters with music.
THE PRODUCT: The bourbon selection was amazing. Very impressive.
THE SERVICE: Our lady was nice enough, but the service she provided was haphazard, sporadic, and completely disinterested at best.
THE COST: In total, our party of four had:
– 6 “menu drinks” (mostly New Fashioneds)
– 1 flight of bourbon (three 1 oz pours)
– 1 3oz bourbon
Our bill was $229.27 without a tip.(I tipped 20%)
We all agreed that JEM Social across the street is a far superior choice, where the food and service have always been excellent and the space has a much better atmosphere.

Don’t go here. If I could give them no stars that would be generous. They’re thieves! Went tonight. Hubbys were drinking bourbon, we were drinking wine. Went to check out and there’s already a 20% tip on your bill.BEWARE! Guys were tasting bourbon, were told he had a special pour that was pricey. All pours were about $20, yet when the bill came it was $90 for that one pour! Total bill was over $300 for 4 pours! We’ve gone before and it was enjoyable, yet after tonight we’ll never go there again.
