This is one of my favorite lunch spots. I aim to go when their special is the egg salad sandwich. It is the best I’ve ever had! I love it paired with their amazing and light tomato soup. The portion size is absolutely perfect! If you’ve not been here yet, it is a must try!

Stopped in for the first time yesterday to place it to go order for lunch around noon. It was a packed house, which I honestly was very happy to see, because I know there had been a recent change of ownership. Speaking of, the new owners are a married couple and the husband was serving, ringing out guests, and was the one to take my to-go order. He was very kind and helpful. I ordered the ruben (13.99) with a side of their house made thousand island dressing and subbed the side of chips for their loaded potato salad(+$2.99). The food was delicious. I’ve seen others complain about portion sizes in their reviews, but I felt quite satisfied after I was done with my meal! I can’t wait to bring my son and fiance here!

This is one of our favorite spots for lunch, and has been for 25 years! It recently changed hands, and it’s still great as always!
The egg salad and deli tomato soup are amazing. Salads are fresh and tasty, grilled cheese is great. My husband had the Reuben and he said it was awesome.
We will be back regularly!

Lived here my whole life and never been! It’s a cozy atmosphere local feel. Very good salad with homemade croutons which were delicious!
The lasagna was terrific, I love the ricotta was very good! All around great place! Lemonberry Mascarpone Cake for dessert!

Good service. The croutons on the salad were very tasty. Unfortunately, this is where the compliments end. I ordered the spinach lasagna and my wife had the tortellini marinara.
The lasagna noodles were dried out, spinach was terrible and the sauce was very burnt. Epic failure on the lasagna.
The tortellini tasted like it had been frozen in a bag which was also topped with the burnt marinara sauce. Epic failure on this dish as well.
Portion sizes on both dishes were extremely small. The picture of the tortellini is how much was left on the table. When asked if we wanted a box to take the leftovers, we respectfully declined.
We decided to order lemon bars as a much needed pallet cleanser and wouldn’t you know it, they were equally terrible! I can best describe them as tasting like crunchy butter with a hint of lemon topped with powdered sugar. How do you mess up a lemon bar? The lemon bars were also very small in portion size. I’ve included a standard sugar packet in the picture for scale.
It’s pretty bad when the croutons on the salad are the best part of the meal. Normally, I always give resturants a second chance to redeem themselves. However, this time I don’t feel I can bring myself to do it.

Very small restaurant, but cozy. The food/drink is definitely over priced for what you get. For example, I got an Italian soda for $7 and expected a medium sized drink. It was a child’s size.

Truly disappointed with this dinner!! Menu online is not actually available. No steak. No seafood. Only 3 pasta dishes (lasagna from a microwave, spaghetti and alfredo) and sandwiches. No appetizers at all – VERY misleading!! They literally cooked our food in a microwave.. even the lasagna! Chicken noodle soup was made with lasagna noodles. They only have 1 type of salad dressing – Italian…actually oil and vinegar with a hint of parmesan. No ranch. No blue cheese. No other choices. No mozzarella… at all in the entire “Italian restaurant”. Apparently they only serve bread with entrees, though we had a large party and everyone ordered a meal from the menu. They did agree to bring us bread at a cost! Portions were ok. No liquor license. Server was nice. Restaurant was clean. They did a horrible job bussing our table during the meal. Would not recommend or go back. Would be hugely surprised if this establishment stays in business with this type of menu, limited options, and no alcohol. When we walked in on a Saturday night and immediately got a table for 9 at 7pm, we should’ve known.

Tortellini overcooked and tasteless, Alfredo sauce was missing the cheese, butter, and garlic, tasted like nothing. Smoked turkey wasn’t smoked, sourdough was definitely not sourdough. Potato salad had bacon or bacon flavoring in it, disgusting. They serve tap water, didn’t taste filtered at all. This was like eating institutional food. Cheap ingredients or just skimped on ingredients to cut cost. Not good at all.

Nearly famous is generous for what is mediocre at best. I had better club sandwiches at mcalisters for a better price. I’m not sure who thinks chilli is a soup but they are very wrong.
