Lived in SS for 6 years now and tried most if not all the Ethiopian places near downtown at least a couple times. This is consistently our favorite, and when we take guests they’re always really pleased. Can’t comment on takeout, we always eat there. Service is friendly and solid.

This is a cute little place right in downtown silver spring. I decided to try this one because of other reviews. I went around noon with a friend. We ordered the vegetable platter to share as well as the spicy beef. Everything was absolutely delicious! The service was pretty good. The only word of caution I would have is to pack your own food if you’re taking it away. The way the lady threw the food in the container was pretty gross. Other than that there is a bar and lots of seating available?

I had my birthday dinner here for 15 people and it was absolutely fantastic. I called them a few days before to confirm a time and number of people and when we arrived, the table was beautifully decorated and ready for us. The food itself was so delicious and we all left stuffed! We split three vegetarian platters and three types of meat – they were very accommodating for our vegetarian friends too. The servers were so kind and made our whole group feel special and loved and even played brought out a birthday treat for me. This was such a memorable birthday dinner and much love to the Nazrawi folks for making it a great one!

Get the tofu tibs. The server recommended it over tofu firfir and she was right. So good. The tofu was crispy and covered in tibs sauce. We also ordered special kitfo (cooked medium) and the veggie platter (2 types of lentils, peas, cabbage and collards). My husband, son and I all agreed that the tofu ribs won best dish.

By a far landslide, this is the best Ethiopian food in the area. Whether you’re vegan, gluten free, carnivore, etc, all the options are top tier. My favorites include the Asa goulash (fried fish in stew), beef tibs and special kitfo. I also recommend the veggie platter and veggie sambusas. If you’re into unique alcohol, try out their Ethiopian beers. The staff are kind, knowledgeable and so accommodating. Perfect place for dates, family dinners, birthdays, or just a chill vibe.

Amazing Ethiopian restaurant in the DMV. Beautiful restaurant and fun atmosphere. The food is top notch. We came on a busy night and service was a bit slow near the end of our visit but it was worth it overall. Staff was kind in explaining any dishes I didn’t know and very friendly. The menu offered so much compared to the simple dishes we got this time!
