Fancy looking restaurant, looks elegant. I think experience could be elevated with more ambient lighting.
Service was good.
The food was outstanding—beautifully presented, perfectly seasoned, and full of flavor. Every dish tasted fresh and carefully prepared. The highlight for me was the mutton juicy mandi, which was cooked to perfection.
Mainly the Service was the best thing and especially the girl Maha was very friendly the portions were generous, and the overall value was fantastic. You can tell the team here truly cares about quality and customer satisfaction
We also tried the butter chicken and garlic naan, both of which were fresh and delicious. The curries have a rich, well-balanced flavor without being overly heavy. Spice levels are customizable, which is great whether you prefer mild or extra heat.
The service was friendly and attentive, and the staff was happy to make recommendations. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming — perfect for both dine-in and takeout.
Overall, Nawabs Hyderabad House delivers authentic taste, good value, and satisfying portions. Definitely one of the best spots for Indian cuisine in the St. Louis area!
The food is pretty good though.
Update:
The food quality has also gone down. There are like 3 or 4 prices if ch8cken or meat in the biryani or any of the curries.
Overall this isn’t a resturant in america, it feels truly authentically indian.
Update on August 24th.
I had a nattukutu biryani, and this was possibly the worst biryani I have had anywhere including in india. Not a single peice with chicken like leg or breast just a bunch of throwaway scraps like bones and skin pieces.
Half an hour for someone to come get the order, another 40 minutes to get the food, then 30 minutes of sitting around before someone remembered to bring us a cheque.
This is a sub-par resturant , being run with some slum level of dysfunctional service. I am in rage with the reputation damage it will do to indian food for the people in st louis.
Update 6/2/2026
horrible slop which feels like an embarrassment in the name of Indian food….seems there is a mini puddle of oil with some gravy and a little mutton thrown in.
There were no spoons, no napkins, no proper sized beer glasses.
This place benefits only and ONLY due to location in Maryland heights where most of the Indian public lives. Otherwise this place feels like a undergrad college project being run by kids.
