I recently visited Hyderabad House in Detroit and had a good overall experience. We ordered Hyderabadi chicken biryani, mutton chukka, and chicken majestic, and all these dishes were good in taste with nice flavor, good quality, and generous quantity. The food was well prepared and satisfying.

We also tried gongura paneer biryani and baby corn majestic. These dishes were just okay for me and didn’t meet my expectations compared to the other items we ordered. They were not bad, but they didn’t stand out as much.

Overall, the restaurant serves good-quality food with decent portions. Some dishes were excellent, while a few vegetarian options could be improved. Still, it’s a good place to visit if you’re craving Hyderabadi-style food, especially their non-vegetarian dishes.

We tried a great spread today and everything was surprisingly good!
The Gobi Manchuria was the star for me — crispy, spicy, full of flavor, and perfectly cooked. Definitely one of the best versions I’ve had lately
The chicken biryani was flavorful and cooked well, and even the mutton turned out tender and tasty.
But the most interesting item was the Potlam Pulav this was my first time trying it, and it really felt authentic, generous in quantity, and different from regular pulav. Wrapped in a leaf with egg on top, it had a rustic taste and a homely touch. It’s something I definitely want to try again to explore more of its flavors ️
Overall, a satisfying meal with good portion sizes, great taste, and some unique dishes worth going back for!

What great food and service. The Indian food was absolutely delicious, full of authentic flavors, and clearly made with care. What really surprised me was how good the Indo-Chinese dishes were as well — bold, tasty, and done right, not watered down. Eating here honestly felt like sitting at a typical Mumbai dhaba, with that comforting, street-style vibe and flavor you usually miss outside India. The service was warm and attentive, which made the experience even better. This place has truly changed the Indian food scene in Detroit, and I will definitely be coming back

The ambience was really nice and cozy, giving a pleasant dining experience. The staff were polite and the service was good. The biryani was flavorful and cooked perfectly definitely the highlight of the meal. However, the dosa was quite disappointing. It was so crispy that I felt like I was eating nachos, and on top of that, it was extremely spicy. The combination really took away from the taste. Overall, the ambience was great, but the food quality was inconsistent.

I’ve never had Indian cuisine before. The food tasted great. Lunch was delicious and the dessert was outstanding, especially the cakes.
Since I’ve never had Indian food before, the staff was able to explain things so I could understand what to order. Everything was fresh and very flavorful. I especially liked the soups.
The restaurant looks great and is spacious. The decor looks great (and I liked the chairs)

(I wish I took pictures of my lunch but I did attach a picture of the cakes)

Had dinner at Nawabi Hyderabad House Indian Restaurant and Bakery in Novi and it was outstanding. I ordered the Afghani Lamb with garlic naan and everything was full of flavor. The lamb was tender, the sauce had a deep rich spice, and the naan was soft with just the right amount of garlic and herbs. The food tasted fresh and authentic, just like what you would find at the best Indian restaurants in Hyderabad. The restaurant itself is modern, clean, and welcoming with plenty of seating and great service. The staff was friendly and made sure I had everything I needed. If you are looking for authentic Indian food in Michigan or the best Indian restaurant in Novi, this place should be at the top of your list.

It’s located in the old Mongolian BBQ.

Interior looks nice, not what I would expected for an Indian restaurant. Looks modern and fresh and inviting.

Staff brought us plates and bottles of waters.

Ordered egg dosa with onion and chili, Gobi Manchurian, Chana masala, Dal tadka, butter masala, all spicy. $77.38

The egg dosas is different, soggy with the egg, prefer the plain. Not fond of the chutneys. The tomato is decent, the other I can’t tell and there’s two of them.

The Gobi Manchurian is good, slightly crispy, chili sauce has got some heat to it. I like it.

The butter chicken is not bad, although try chicken may be a tad overcooked. The masala sauce is quite yummy.

The Chana masala is super thick, it’s okay.

The dal tadka is extremely runny, it’s so-so.

Had to flag someone down to get our bill to cash out to leave. It’s getting quite busy since before 7PM, it’s Saturday after all.

The cafe side has some cakes, yogurt drinks, sweets, treats, samosas too.

I would get the butter chicken and the Gobi Manchurian, both were good.

While visiting family in Novi, decided on takeout from Hyderabad House. The restaurant was quite busy with people waiting for tables. Ordered tandoori chicken sampler, chicken biryani, butter chicken, karahi paneer as well as a selection on Naans. Food was prepared well, with a Hydrabadi twist and tasteful. Tandoor items as well as Naans were on point. Staff is friendly and with smiles !

Ordered vegetarian biryani, specifically asked for which one they would recommend, which was special for the weekend. Was recommended was Monaghadi paneer biryani.
And order Karampodi Gobi and a veg puff to take away.

Veg paneer puff delicious, one of best I had. Just like the one in Hyderabad. Definitely recommend it.

Karampodi Gobi- for taste good but missed the cashews and the crunch.

The recommended biryani was the most disappointing, for something that was specifically made on the weekend, it felt like rice was layered with some paneer curry. The paneer quantity was good but no masala just paneer pieces and curried layered rice.

Service was really good, the person on the counter as well as the bakery interiors were good.

Absolutely amazing food! I tried their samosa, Chicken 65, fried fish (forgot the exact name), fried rice with Chicken Manchurian (wet),Nawabi Goat Dum Biryani, Chicken Pulav, Chicken Tikka Masala, Pomfret Fry, Chikoo juice and mango juice. Forgot to take photos of all the items but everything was super tasty! Their medium spice level has a nice kick which I personally loved. If you prefer less heat, go for mild or ask the staff. They are very polite and helpful when it comes to menu suggestions. I was also told the meat is halal and They have plenty of vegetarian options too. Also they have a bakery too! My picky eater kid loved the mango cake. He got free cotton candy too on our first visit! The pistachio and chocolate cakes were great and so was the mango mousse. Haven’t tried the rest yet but can’t wait to!
Prices are reasonable for both food and bakery items. Definitely worth a visit!
