Yesterday I went to Natural Oasis. It was my first time there and the food was Amazing!!! I am not overly fond of lentils or split peas.. but these were so good… I had seconds!!! The ‘bread’ was made from teff and the tomato soup had such a unique and delicious flavor. If you’ve not been before… I HIGHLY recommend Natural Oasis. It’s right on Monroe Avenue

I’ve been coming to Natural Oasis for almost 9 years. I’ve never had a bad meal. My favorites are the risotto, gnocchi, and kichadi. The salad is also amazing, and it’s hard to say that about a salad. Solomon and Nick are always so nice, and I’m grateful to have such delicious food in Rochester.

I’m embarrassed to say this was my husband and mines first time here being that the restaurant has been around for 20 years! Nevertheless, we couldn’t be happier to have stumbled upon such a low key, humble and delicious restaurant. The parking is a bit difficult as the lot is free but very tight. We had dinner here and from the chai tea to the plates we had (stew, salad, plantain fritters, gnocchi and greens), everything was flavourful, perfectly spiced and delicious. The pricing isn’t bad at all either. They prefer cash payment, but they fo take card. Highly recommend for anyone following a vegan/plant-based/vegetarian diet, since the menu is entirely friendly to these diets. We will definitely be back!

I don’t have a lot of experience with Ethiopian food but I’m about to be a regular. Everything I tried was delicious, it was cozy and peaceful and welcoming inside, and service was quick and friendly. I apologize to every lentil I’ve dismissed, I didn’t know they could taste like this.

This is a good place to get some healthy food that is homemade. Yes, the place itself it a little old, but the friendly staff and good food make up for it. Buffet is all you can eat. I found the cuisine to be similar to Indian food in some cases. The variety of options was limited, but what they had was alright. Price is also pretty reasonable. Note that parking is limited.

Update: Went there for dinner on a Saturday and it was unbelievably good. The lunch buffets they do 6 days a week are really awesome! It’s all vegan and healthy. It’s Ethiopian food so prepare your mouth for flavors you may not have had, and enjoy! This is a real hidden gem, just looks like they haven’t remodeled in a while is all, but if you look past that you are in for a real treat.

Great place for lunch buffet. Food is always hearty and flavorful. Atmosphere is quiet, simple and homey. Solomon is one of the friendliest people I have ever met. Decent price for a buffet. Free parking in lot out front. If it gets really busy, there is always parking on the street.

Had dinner here tonight. Great service. Food came out hot and as fast as I was able to eat. Dishes are hearty and vegetable forward, plus there was a fabulous appetizer of spiced sultanas, nuts, and what I think were freshly battered/fried chickpeas. Dinner is very reasonably priced at $5 a plate. Delicious. Fancy but feels homemade. Reminded me of my sister’s cooking and she is a wonderful cook :’) I will definitely be going back!!
