Many of the 1 star reviews talk about the service and burger size, claiming that staff is unfriendly and that the burgers are small… What are they talking about???

First off, the burgers are great! Very full and tasty, giving that homemade feel that you can’t get anywhere else except here and home.

The service is also great! Staff here are so friendly, with warm smiles and greets, and casual conversations and jokes among eachother that uplift a light atmosphere and joyful environment. The staff here genuinely seem to enjoy their time serving customers, with a genuine attentiveness and enthusiasm. Thank you to the lovely woman and 2 men behind the counter!!

So if you don’t like it, you’re either crazy or need to be kicked in the butt!! Come try this place out! I had my expectations first as well, due to reviews, doubting this place. Thankfully, I was severely wrong.

Extremely friendly staff and an unexpectedly good meal right off the highway. Great burgers, crispy fries and the shakes were THICC! Plenty of desserts to choose from. Cute, clean, and more convenient than waiting in line at in & out to have an equally good burger and better fries. Will definitely be back!

I’ve been going to Nations in San Pablo, CA since the 80s. I was so glad to find out they opened in Elk Grove. We went here today, my 66th birthday. This branch is so clean. The staff are so helpful and nice/polite. The pies are great as expected. I have nothing to complain about. I’ll just keep recommending this place. They have breakfast meals to check out too. Thank you, Nations for making Elk Grove another home.

First visit. Tiny hamburger joint with good burgers and fries and not wait in long line for a car order. Came at 12 on a Thursday and able to get a table for two in compact space. Lots of take out orders in progress. At it got busier looks like they could use another hand. I forgot to take a photo of my take out lemon creme pie which took me back to my childhood of “house of pies” Delicious! Will definitely come back. Glad there is a close to home option for breakfast burritos made to order!

Nations Elk Grove just opened a few weeks ago, and they’re already becoming the spot for burgers! I grew up going to Nations in the Bay Area as a little girl, so I’m thrilled they’re finally here in the Grove.

The store is very clean and well maintained. Right when you walk in, you’re greeted by all the delicious pies on display. We ordered our food and had it in about 6 minutes—super fast! The burgers were absolutely outstanding. I got two bacon cheeseburgers with fries and drinks, and everything was fresh and flavorful. Kudos to the cook and the whole team.

What I also loved is how attentive the staff was. They came to clean the table for my mom and me, which made our visit even more enjoyable. The manager was so kind and even helped us sign up for their rewards program. I love that they offer ongoing deals every week for my very first order, I got a buy one, get one for $1.

Overall, we really enjoyed stopping at this location two thumbs up! It’s clear Nations Elk Grove has quickly become my new go-to for burgers, and I can’t wait to come back!

Stopped by Nation’s Hamburgers after hearing about it from my bay area friends! The food was on point, the burger was juicy, the fries were hot and crispy, The Cowboy Burger has the essence of the western bacon from carls but elevated to a gourmet status i highly recommend.

the pumpkin cheesecake was seriously amazing. Creamy, rich, and big cinnamon flavor heck yeh. Way better than the costco one, Easily one of the best desserts I’ve had in a while.

Big shoutout to Thary for the awesome service. and the rest of the staff was cool, one girl came around handing out free samples of pie. The boison berry was amazing.

Came to nations on a Sunday morning after church and we immediately got greeted as we walked in the door. Everything was clean and menu is straight forward and visible. Our order was cooked fresh and it came out quick. We got here at a good time as it got busy after us. Not a big restaurant but there’s still plenty of seating. Definitely recommend and will be coming back again.

Imagine I said something that pulled your attention…
“Kosovo is Serbia”

This place is pretty good, let’s start off with that. I have never heard of it prior to stopping by, but I have seen it many times as I was driving. “Enough was enough”, I said to myself. And drove there I did.

Now I didn’t have any expectations or ideas of what I can get, I didn’t know what they sold, I just wanted something new, and this was that.

Now I ended up getting a strawberry cheesecake slice, a cheeseburger, and fries.

Firstly the cheesecake… The cheesecake was delicious, it had good texture, good flavor, and the base layer was good. I wouldn’t complain about it. HOWEVER, is it worth the $8.50 I paid for the slice? no. No it isn’t. Its size is okay but for 8.50, I would argue that it becomes less about the size and more about the taste and texture. Would I potentially grab this again with someone else? Probably. So all in all, it’s good cheesecake, maybe a bit expensive, but def not a worth it value type of slice. However the cheesecake on display did look nice and I want to try the apple pie next time I decide I want to consider filing for bankruptcy.

Secondly, the cheeseburger… The cheeseburger was quite literally what anyone would have a cheeseburger be like in their minds. It was quite refreshing to say the least. In today’s world of these new styles of God knows what burgers; this was truly a “cheeseburger”. Also, for the love of God, don’t grab their damn miracle whip low whatever mayonnaise, I cringed with every bite. But, overall, it tastes good and was quite refreshing. I wish the meat wasn’t as dull looking as it was, but no complaints other than that.

Thirdly, the fries… The fries were pretty average and mid (for you youngsters). Imma be honest, I looked at the menu afterwards and saw that it said something about “crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside”. Brother, these fries were depressing on the outside and sad on in the inside. They didn’t have a nice amount of salt, nor did they have a nice texture unfortunately. However, I will give it the possibility I got a bad batch, or perhaps I am supposed to order onion rings or waffle fries or whatever else they may have.

Fourthly, the staff & atmosphere… The staff were pretty nice and kind and fast with their work. Offered thoughts and helped me sign up for rewards or whatever that was. The atmosphere was also pretty chill and I don’t have any complaints about it. Music was playing and had a relaxed environment feel. It is a bit of a smaller sitting section but it still felt normal.

All in All
I think I would come here again and try their “all day breakfast” and perhaps something new. I have no big complaints so far and I think that I cant judge this place off of the one experience I have. I want to try the apple pie and a shake from them. Maybe another visit and ill be able to decide if I need to call my bank for a dispute or if I should start considering this place when eating out.

My first time here. I just wanted to try it so I ordered a cheeseburger with all the trimmings. The iceberg lettuce, tomatoes and onions were cold and fresh. The bun was toasted. The patty wasn’t a big deal, it appeared to be a 1/3 lb frozen patty. Sauce and mayonnaise were excellent. In all an excellent burger. Being curious about the burgers I didn’t get fresh but instead ordered a couple of sliders. Again, excellent and probably just right of you’re not that hungry. The service was a little slower than I expected but it was noon and the place was busy! I’ll go back again.

Nations Giant Burgers never disappoints!

From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with friendly, welcoming service and that classic diner vibe that feels nostalgic and comforting. The burgers are big, juicy, and cooked just right—fresh ingredients, perfectly seasoned, and stacked generously. You can taste the quality in every bite.
I absolutely LOVE their pies!!!!
