The French fries were amazing—they instantly took me back to that classic Detroit Coney Island fry experience. Crispy, nostalgic, and full of #313Roots flavor.

The coney dog itself wasn’t quite as warm as I would’ve preferred, but the chili absolutely delivered with the right taste and seasoning, so it still hit the mark overall.

I wouldn’t recommend the tap water, but the lemonade was perfectly splendid and refreshing—definitely the move.

All in all, a solid Detroit staple to grab while traveling through DTW. Detroit vibes where you least expect them ✈️

Definitely a great place and very conveniently located just past security right in the middle of the terminal.
When I went, they were busy but the service was quick. I ordered to Detroit style Coney Island hot dogs and they were really good. They were good size hot dogs, flavorful, the casing was snappy, they had a good amount of onions, chili and mustard on them as well. And everything was a good price compared to some airport food options.
I would definitely eat here again when going through Detroit metropolitan airport.

Was leaving my hometown to go back to AZ and I wanted one last hometown memory and stopped here. I was starving and boy was I disappointed. I got a Coney dog and they missed the mark. Now come on yall. You know you supposed to have a nice steamed bun and a grilled dog. Bun was dry, crumbling, and dis figured. The did snap but not enough chilli or mustard. Coney are simple and a staple of Coney Island and in the airport where people want the last or first experience. The fries were great and the service was cool. Sorry yall need to step the Coney game up especially for 14.00 for the meal.

Very good money’s. Server, Dawn was excellent. Was back in Detroit airport last week. Dawn was still therr, food was still very good and service very good. We had breakfast, so, it’s more than hot dogs.

I rarely leave reviews, but I was very disappointed with the service at this location. A staff member at the Detroit airport showed no empathy when I expressed dissatisfaction with how the sunny-side-up eggs were prepared. Instead of addressing my concern, she bragged about how, in her 16 years of working there, they’ve always been made that way. There was no apology or understanding offered.

She eventually substituted with scrambled eggs, which unfortunately were bland as well. Overall, it was a very poor experience. This was my first and will be my last time visiting here. Not satisfied

This was a nice spot to eat while waiting for our connecting flight. Although I needed to salt my chili cheese fries, the food was overall good tasting and hot and the price wasn’t too bad for being in the airport. Our server, Amanda, did an outstanding job!

Detroit has a great airport with great airport restaurants. National Coney Island had great food, and prices were not as elevated as we usually expect at airports.

The place was cute with a 1950’s feel, and service was very friendly. Overall, food was served quickly, definitely under 10 minutes.

Greek salad and chicken and bacon salad are huge. Fries were great, and coneys were definitely solid. Good choice for Detroit!

Though I haven’t eaten in before, the dogs here are unbeatable. Whenever I come in to Detroit I love to stop in and grab a bite. This is always my first place of choice. Do be aware that this location is far from both United and American airlines gates. It sits around D18, in the middle of both exit points and right when you come out of security. One of the many things that I love about this location is that they never overstuff the dogs. All the times I have come here, and being a small person, the coney always fits in my mouth. The prices are reasonable, especially for being at the airport. Sometimes airport food can be extremely overpriced. I also enjoy the seamless ‘to-go’ station that I always use for easy food and almost no waiting. In all the times that I have come here, the same wonderful crew greets me and there is no line. Another thing that I love about National Coney Island is the fact that they sell their chili. They even have beans/no beans! I will always enjoy coming here whenever I fly into DTW Evans Terminal.

Not bad for an airport restaurant. They have to go and sit down. Friendly employees and a nice, clean space. Breakfast sandwich on a bagel was good. I’d recommend coming by if you want something to tide you over. I will say that it’s fairly pricey- receipt is shown in the photos. Not bad, okay food.
