Great little Coney Island in Detroit Metro Airport. Prices are a little high, but that’s to be expected in the airport. Staff is always friendly and super quick. Hostess I had was super kind. I will definitely come here again.

As far as airport food goes, this was great. I mean, it’s just coney dogs and fries, but they were delicious. The food is also reasonably priced (for an airport). It was nice to try some Detroit cuisine before I left the city. The waitress was very kind and they let me sit and charge my phone for a bit before I had to make it to my gate.

The white lady cashier did not ask if I wanted my food for here or to go, and she just ordered my food to go so I was not allowed to sit in the dine-in area. I tried to explain this to the other workers, and she just reiterated the policy. Notably, the white workers did ask the white man behind me. They apparently do not want diners of color in the restaurant because they ring up our orders as to go, but they ask white people if they want to dine in. Look at other reviewers. Most reviews saying the service was friendly were from white people. Hot dog was ok. Chili was disgusting. Bread mediocre.

Came in before going to work at another restaurant in the airport. I usually get the Egger with bacon and it’s usually very good. However, today they cooked the bacon very hard and it tasted burnt! I showed the cashier what it looked like and asked her to please have them do it over. When she did, the man said, “Why?! What’s wrong with it?!” I threw my hand and just walked away. I will never go back again! Smh

The amount of people crying that they can’t take their take out food into the dine in area like it’s not clearly marked with 43 different signs, to which if they waited as long as they said they did they would’ve had enough time to read and see, is ungodly funny to me. I’ve noticed if you don’t want the staff to be jerks, don’t be a jerk to them. They were more than upfront with everybody that comes into the store on what you can and cannot do, and what they can and cannot do.

Coney Island we have landed. Hello favorite foodie here hard to give a decent rating when you don’t live in the state or city, but nevertheless lets get into it. So for people who have never been here think of dennys but with a northern twist. Menu was very diverse as far as region is concerned but let’s talk about the photo I got here. I went with the breakfast for dinner. The hash browns are good lighty toasted, bacon crisp and pancakes nice and fluffy. Really wish you could substitute the choice of bread for an upcharge. Went back yesterday 02/21/2021 got the two chili dogs and fries and that was also good as well overall if your near one try one also the cooks were funny and full of energy!!!!
