Nate’s Nashville Hot Chicken is a new restaurant specializing in piping hot chicken tenders, juicy and flavorful sandwiches, and crispy, fall-off-the-bone wings. We may be new kids on the block in the Hot Chicken game, but we’re seasoned vets in the restaurant business and can’t wait to bring our passion for top-tier, delicious, high-quality cooking to our local community here in Southern CA.

I stopped by Paso Robles in my way home for a quick bite, I was craving KFC at the time. I found this restaurant as a quick detour from 101, so I said why not? First of all, this establishment is tiny, there are like 4 tables inside that can sit about 10 people. There is sitting outside but with 100F heat in summer I don’t think anyone with common sense would ever consider eating outside, unless they want to become fried chicken too… sorry I digressed The menu is basic: Nashville tenders, wings, chicken sandwich (and hot dogs for a reason). I quickly read review and they suggested the Nate’s Original & Fries. The sandwich was average sized, the chicken was crispy, flavorful, and juicy 10/10. I just wish the chicken portion was bigger. To make up for it they add a generous side of fries which you can customize to your heat flavor. I ordered the medium and I felt it was not spicy at all (maybe that’s just me). The box includes a great sauce to dip your fries. I just wish they offered more variety (if they do they didn’t told me). I ordered a small drink with my order and added 15% tip. Total came to be $23 bucks. I felt it is fairly price considering the superior quality (compared to KFC). I will definitely consider eating out here again!

My husband and I always eat here when we drive through Paso.
Service has always been friendly, the outdoor seating is nice because we travel with dogs, the ambiance is stupid fun, and the chicken is legit delish.
I like spicy food, but let me suggest you start with medium upon your first foray into Nate’s because that shit is hot.
We like the tenders combo – two juicy/cripsy nicely sized tenders, Texas toast, really good fries, some pickles, ranch sauce and chipotle sauce. It’s perfect.

They play loud, obnoxious music, and the service is lame. My fries and chicken sandwich were really greasy. There was a communication problem at the counter. Do not order the extra hot; it is way too hot for any normal human being, and I can eat it hotter than most aliens! I liked the coleslaw.

Came in from a roadtrip to Santa Barbara for lunch and saw the current 3.9 star review thinking of a decent fried chicken place. However, this is not the case this might have turned out to be the best fried chicken and fries I have ever tasted it is really worth the price. Watch out for the spice however got a hot level tenders and it was bearable but hard to eat. Definitely a must visit though and a 3.9 does not do it justice.

The chicken is extremely tender and has great flavor. If you are not a fan of spice and all we can hardly handle spicy, you’re better off going with the regular chicken. Anything past the medium heat, you’re asking for the eyes to water and nose to run. They’ll warn you at the counter…

The restaurant is very clean, the service is friendly and fast. We came in as a very large group and I knocked over the entire tower of lids, after which my daughter spilled her drink all over our table and they did not kick us out! Very, very nice people working there and I plan to go back to try some of the other, less spicy options.

We ate here for lunch and the fries are really great. Super crispy but fluffy on the inside. The sandwich and tenders were not too greasy. The chicken was juicy and delicious. Would eat here again for sure!

One of the better Nashville Hot Chicken joints outside of Nashville! Chicken was juicy and nicely seasoned, and Hot was the perfect level of heat for me. My favorite Nashville joints add a touch of brown sugar for a slightly sweet kick, so I was missing that, but the overall flavor was excellent and true to the style.
Fries are sort of the thick beer-battered type (not my favorite style. Shake was premade from a dispenser and skippable.
Very good and I’ll return, but man, do I miss Good Ol’ Burger in this space. Best burger west of the Mississippi. No idea why the owner closed it down in favor of this place when he could have opened this separately anywhere else. Wish he’d at least serve the old Coyote Burger from Good Ol’ Burger on Big Bubba’s menu or something. 🙁

Delicious. Right amount of spice and a large portion. One order would have been enough for two people. The tender was good and crispy. Fries were well seasoned.
Unfortunately, I ordered the sandwich and tender meals but got two tender meals in my take out order. I didn’t find out until I got home. Grrrrr.

I went here shortly after this place opened and I was definitely taken aback. They have fast and easy service.
I had the Nashville Hot Fries with Very Hot seasoning, Nate’s Original Chicken Sandwich & Fries with Hot seasoning, and Chicken and Waffles with Medium seasoning.
First and foremost, their spices are serious. Their Medium is just right for those that want just a tiny bit of heat and some seasoning.
Their Hot is primo for the average heat chaser.
Their Very Hot is one that will satisfy even the most snoody of heat connoisseurs.
And their Scary Hot still has the verdict out, however, if it’s inline with their previous flavors, it is set to live up to its name and stop even the most wild of heat chasers.
The verdict is still out on the Scary Hot because I got it as a side to dip my fries in before attempting it on an entire sandwich/tenders.
The portions are large. They have timely service.
There is inside and outside seating available. The only con I could see is that of the small parking lot, but that is not their fault. For those of you that have been in this marketplace, they parking lot is fairly tight.
Overall I highly recommend this place for all occasions

Fries were amazing, crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and seasoned very well. I got the chicken at medium spice level and it was perfect. Wasn’t too hot that I couldn’t enjoy it but wasn’t like it wasn’t spicy either. Chicken was also extremely crispy and juicy. Service was quick, however they did have the music pretty loud and it got a little irritating. Overall I highly recommend it, food was absolutely delicious.
