People probably come to this restaurant for the donkatsu, but they absolutely have one of the best chicken bowls here! Crispy yet tender, it’s perfectly done. The owner is also incredibly nice and welcoming with a warm smile. We tried the spicy rice cake skewer, and it tasted just like the ones I had in Korea. I highly recommend their handmade matcha ice cream — it’s rich, sweet, and absolutely delicious! 사장님이 친절하시고 모든음식이 양도 많고 맛있어요!

Came here for the first time this past weekend for dinner and it definitely exceeded my expectations. The place is a nice small restaurant with seating indoor and outdoor. The food was AMAZING, some of the best most simple Korean dishes I’ve ever eaten and at a very affordable price.

Everything was just right. The Kimchi Rice was not overly spicy like other places. The bulgogi was good. The yellow pickled radish was the best I’ve ever tasted, it was just right. Not too crunchy and not too sour. Definitely will be coming back here again. Overall 5 ⭐️

Nasung Donkasu is a true hidden gem in Aliso Viejo. Every dish had well-balanced seasoning — nothing too sweet, salty, or heavy.

We ordered the Donkatsu Plate and Bulgogi Plate, and both came with generous sides: jumbo shrimp tempura, salad, stir-fried kimchi, pickled radish, and a comforting beef radish soup that comes with the plates.

The bulgogi was seasoned just right, the Jumbo Shrimp Tempura was crispy, and the Rice Cake Skewer reminded me of classic Korean street-food flavors. The tteokbokki also had a great balance.

We enjoyed the Korean drinks (Sikhye, Sujeonggwa, Pear Juice), and the chef’s handmade matcha ice cream was the perfect finish.

Everything we tried was delicious, and the portions were generous. Highly recommend visiting if you’re in the area.

The food was great! The bulgogi bowl had so much depth and a nice smokey flavor that makes it addicting. The donkasu bowl was crispy and a great combination of textures. The food packs a punch and doesn’t leave you feeling weighed down. A perfect any time meal. The owner is super nice and helpful.

Great place to eat the Korean version of Tonkatsu, aptly named Donkasu

I went for the Donkasu Bowl and did not regret! The quality and flavor of the Donkasu was superb – crunchy and thin-crusted cutlet, drenched in the tasty Donkasu sauce.

The side dishes were also amazing and balanced the fried meat perfectly – my favorite was the stir-fried Kimchi!!

And don’t forget the soup that came as part of the combo – it was really well-balanced and poured a lot of heart into my empty stomach.

The service is immaculate, the restaurant is clean – and the sound of K-pop over the speakers did the job of making me feel right at home.

Keep it up, wishing you the best of luck for your business!

Lovely Korean-Japanese eatery. Very nice service as well.
Ordered kimchi fried rice and bulgogi bowl. Both were delicious. Topped with green tea ice cream with cute design as dessert. Only wished they had more outside tables. Will come back for sure.

The food here is great, but the service is truly exceptional—it goes beyond typical good quality. The restaurant is cozy, and the staff’s caring hospitality is something you won’t soon forget. Combining their delicious and unique Korean-style food with that level of service makes this a fantastic experience from start to finish.

I have to say, this Korean restaurant has been in the neighborhood for quite some time, but I never really felt motivated to try it. I assumed it probably wouldn’t be very good.

That day, I finally decided to give it a try. To my surprise, the food was excellent. Everything tasted authentic and well prepared. What really stood out, and is surprisingly rare, was how perfectly cooked the white rice was.

The pork cutlet was fried to perfection — super crispy and juicy. Loved the Korean side dishes and sauce, they added a nice kick. Simple food but totally hit the spot. And that fried kimchi on the side? Absolute bomb

My husband and I come here at least once a month, and it’s become one of our absolute favorites in Aliso Viejo. The food is consistently amazing, and the owners are genuinely the kindest people. You can tell they care deeply about what they serve.

I usually order the bulgogi bowl or the donkasu bowl, and both are always cooked to perfection – hot, flavorful, and incredibly comforting. The shrimp tempura and dumplings are also must-tries; they’re light, crispy, and packed with flavor.

Last time, my husband ordered the Tteok-Bokki and it was delicious. Perfectly chewy rice cakes with a rich, savory sauce. We also tried their new homemade matcha ice cream and oh my goodness… it’s unbelievably creamy, balanced, and not too sweet. You can taste the quality in every bite.

I’m so grateful Nasung Donkasu, it’s truly a gem and one of the best spots around for authentic, soul-warming Korean comfort food.
