Since this was my first visit, I ordered my usual “test dish” to gauge a Thai restaurant’s quality: the Drunken Tofu Noodle, along with curry puffs. The server noted that their curry puffs contain chicken, which was fine with me.
They proudly mentioned that the curry puffs were made in-house, so I was looking forward to them. However, when they arrived and I took my first bite, I was surprised to find they were served at room temperature. I had expected them to be hot and crispy, as fried appetizers usually are. The pastry lacked crunch, and the filling was quite mushy. Although the texture was disappointing, I could taste the curry powder, which had a pleasant flavor.
The Drunken Noodles came with American broccoli and baby corn in lieu of the typical onions and carrots. I was also expecting long, flat noodles, but some of these noodles were long and some were broken into shorter pieces. It was very inconsistent. When ordering, I hadn’t realized that tofu wasn’t included by default, as the server only asked whether I wanted shrimp, chicken, or beef. I stated, “I’ll take the standard tofu, please.” I was surprised to find a $2 upcharge for the fried tofu.
Because my stomach was a bit unsettled today, I asked for the dish to be mild, but it turned out spicier than I anticipated. The noodles were quite greasy, though the chili paste had a nice flavor. Just know their mild is a bit spicier, when ordering.
After finishing my meal, the employee asked twice if I wanted dessert. Both times, I politely declined, mentioning that I was full and ready for the check. I could see the hint of disappointment in their expression.
Despite some missteps, the ambiance was beautiful, and the food itself had good flavor. Sitting in a booth made for a cozy and semi-private experience, perfect for enjoying lunch and getting some reading done.
Amazing food and super friendly staff! The pad Thai tastes really good. You can tell they use very fresh ingredients.
The portions are generous and the prices are very reasonable. The place is clean and has a great vibe. Will definitely be back soon!
The Malay curry chicken and the Thai basil fried rice was really good..
We got two apps: Spring roll and roti | Very delicious.
Entree: Tom Yum Noodle and Ramen Noodles. | The spice levels for the both the dishes were just spot on.
Dessert: Mango sticky rice | Hit all the spots, also one of the best ones I have ever had.
Additionally, timely service – everything came out promptly and was made with fresh ingredients. Loved everything ✨
Definitely coming back ❤️❤️
Also, this is the only Thai restaurant I’ve ever been to that doesn’t sell just plain white rice. They sell Tom Kha Gai, but you can’t order any rice to go with it. They only sell rice with certain foods like curry or as a fried rice dish.
The decor and furniture is very nice. Also, the food was served very quickly, which was nice.
We enjoyed every single bite.
I Will be back again. My daughters loved it
After reopening, it is completely different from before.
The food is very authentic and the service is very good.
Highly recommended!!
