You can NEVER go wrong with Nara’s!

We got 2 Teriyaki Steaks and a Spring Roll(sushi, it comes with 2 but we ate 1 on the way home ). Food is always on point. The ladies that work there to take orders at the drive-thru are always so pleasant and sweet. We haven’t ate inside in a long time but they are always packed!
Thank y’all for the amazing service and food!

I don’t know what I did to deserve such food. Honestly, I feel personally attacked. The meat is questionable and the meal was flavorless! Trust me save your money and go eat literally anywhere else.

Nara Express is a must when dining in Lenoir.

The food is made fresh to order and served plentiful – just check out the pictures. The udon dishes were full of flavor and packed with tasteful ingredients. The steak and chicken were cooked perfectly, and the shrimp and scallops were served plentiful.

The service from the staff was incredibly attentive and customer-focused to our party. The staff confirmed and verified the order to ensure accuracy, and even when delivering the entrees, the staff was verifying. Truly, the customer service was remarkable.

Do you like to watch to go orders go out at the speed of light while you wait half an hour for your food when there are only three parties in the restaurant? Come to Nara’s. In all seriousness though we ordered at 6:29 and got our food at 7:05. When I went to the counter to ask about are food the snippy manager quiped”It’s coming there’s a wait tonight” If you can’t handle doing fine in and take out don’t get irritated with patrons asking about their food after a half hour.

I would have did a 5 start review because the food is absolutely amazing. But the staff is so rude to me. When you walk in the act like it’s annoying that you are there. They don’t greet you and it takes about 5 minutes for anyone to acknowledge you being there. They take your order and it takes a while for food but worth the wait. Great place need to work on staff and tell them to treat customers with some sort of smile and happiness.

Two separate times I had to walk in to get my food after 45+ minutes waiting in a parking spot after the drive thru. Tonight I walked in and my food was sitting on the counter already tied up, she scrambled to grab it seeing me walk in. Last time they stiffed us with chicken instead of the ordered steak, and they never give us jumbo shrimp when ordered. Image provided is what they consider jumbo. Tipped over 20% each time, so last time we eat here, rather drive elsewhere.

The worst representation of Japanese food I’ve ever seen. How? Just how!? How do u cook food this bland after shaving ingredients off of recipes for years u give me this for fried rice? This is horrible. I counted two peas and one corn kernel and one dice of carrot. It’s not that bad. No love in this food. Looks like it tastes like it. Just white rice honestly. No wok hā. Smh. so disappointed.

This has been my second AWFUL experience at Nara. The first time I waited in my car for nearly an hour for my to go order. When I walked inside it was sitting on the counter. I go tonight and when I called at 6:46 they said call-in orders are taking around 35 minutes. I said okay that’s fine. When I get there at 7:13 PM, I was not surprised that it was not ready. The girl told me it would be off the grill shortly and asked me to pull forward into a parking spot. Finally, I decided to walk inside around 7:43 PM, one of the girls had multiple orders in her hands to go outside, I asked her if she had one for Chasity, she pointed to the counter, I see my food is sitting there, another girl hands it to me, I tell her I’ve been sitting in my car for 40 minutes actually realizing now it was 30 but still. She said the bag was not labeled. What is the point in asking someone to pull forward IF YOUR NOT GONNA LABEL THE BAGS????? Moral of the story is they need to have a better system and better customer service when they mess up other than saying it wasn’t labeled.

They’ve remodeled. Food is still good, but prices increased. Expect to wait for food even if you call in order. It’s prepared to order, not made ahead. Chicken or steak noodle is go to dinner for me. Not a fan of their rice, but sweet carrots are plentiful in dinners. Zucchini and onions good too as a side.

Ugh. I tried to give this place multiple chances and it gets worse with every visit. Last time, I was severely disappointed but we lack Asian options in Lenoir so we decided to try Nara again. We always order online to make it easier on everyone — yet we still wait for our food (ordering online gives you an est wait time and we always wait an appropriate time before even going to pick it up) an obnoxious along of time. Nara clearly lacks in efficiency when it comes to their drive-thru/pickup. Annoying waiting an additional 45 minutes, but whatever. ALSO — ** FOOD ALLERGIES AREN’T HONORED VIA ONLINE ORDERING ** Tonight, I ordered the soba noodles and steak with a side a vegetables. I got a bunch of plain soba noodles with no sauce, burned cabbage, and about 10 pieces of super chewy steak — some overcooked, some under. Zero flavor. Thankfully I had supplies at home to make a quick sauce for my food but it was SUPPOSED to be made in a mixture of soy sauce and teriyaki. How you neglect to add flavor to your chewy steak and overcooked soba and burned cabbage, I don’t know. My order of side vegetables was tossed in the bag upside down and its liquid leaked everywhere. My side vegetables? Overcooked and soggy zucchini only. Not as advertised. Shrimp in other meals were especially fishy tasting which worries us. Didn’t get all of our onion soups, either. Even the pop was flat tasting. Spent this much money and the food quality is going downhill. I hope this place turns around quickly because I don’t want to lose an Asian option but come on…this was a waste of money and time.
