I celebrated my birthday at Nar today, and it was absolutely amazing! Huge thanks to Zeynep and her wonderful team for truly making my day. It was such an unforgettable night and the perfect way to (nearly) close my 20s ✨

They even served us Turkish tea, which was such a lovely touch. The food was incredible — especially the baba ghanoush (wow!) and the pistachio sarma, which were hands down the best!! ♥️

Thank you again to everyone. Nar is truly one of the best Turkish restaurants where you can experience both exceptional food and a beautiful atmosphere. Everything felt so warm and genuine, and the music selection added so much to the experience without overpowering conversations — something I really appreciated The space was cozy, intimate, and beautifully authentic; it truly felt like a little piece of Turkey.

My only small suggestion would be that the service for cold appetizers was a bit slow. Since the restaurant closes at 11, it could have been slightly faster. Other than that, everything was a solid 10/10. The staff was incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in

It’s such a perfect place for celebrating special occasions — they really know how to make you feel special I would 100% come back and highly recommend Nar to anyone looking for authentic Turkish cuisine and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

Absolutely amazing food and drinks. The staff is kind and welcoming. Service could be a bit more attentive but certainly wasn’t bad. Comfortable seating and a warm atmosphere. Really enjoyed the food and my drink, the forbidden ember. To eat, we got a few appetizers- shrimp, zucchini blossoms, and hummus. My mom and I got the chicken skewers, my dad got one of the kebabs, and our friends got the lamb kebab. All delicious!

My friend and I tried Nar for the first time for lunch. As you enter the Nar, the clean and serene athmosphere makes you feel happy. We were greeted by Yusuf, who is the waiter, and seated to our table. He was a wonderful waiter from beginning to an end of our experience at Nar. We had the lentil soup as an appetizer. It was very tasty. Then, we had the Turkish Wagyu Cheeseburger. The Wagyu meat was so juicy. They make their own bread that gives an extra deliciousness to the cheese burger. I personally loved the sauce that they use for the cheeseburger. I couldn’t stop eating the cottage fries. The best of the best was the dessert. When I was thinking nothing can tops the soup and the cheeseburger, I had the chance to try Istanbul Dream. The moment I taste the luscious dessert, I felt otherly happy. I can’t say enough about how wonderful my experience was at Nar. I want to thank the owner Zeynep Solak for her vision to create an exquisite restaurant in the heart of Manhattan. I strongly recommend to stop by and try the most delicious food.

The food was soooo good!

Started with turkish bread (complementary) which was yum!

The Manti was the highlight for us. But the mezze platter and lamb kebab was no less – very tasty.

The dessert- instabul dreams was exceptional too but especially the warm atmosphere. Zainab and Elvan filled the place with warmth and fun conversation.

Would definitely come again just for the Manti

Absolutely amazing Mediterranean restaurant! The atmosphere is warm, cozy, and full of authentic vibes. The staff is super friendly, welcoming, and always ready to recommend something special.

The food is incredible — fresh ingredients, rich flavors, and perfectly balanced spices. I especially loved the hummus, lamb kebab, and Greek salad — everything was delicious and beautifully presented.

The portions are generous, the prices are fair, and the overall experience feels like dining somewhere on the Mediterranean coast. Definitely one of the best spots in town — I’ll be coming back for sure!

Great/best Turkish restaurant in NYC. Went with 2 others earlier in the week and shared the Shepherd Salad, combination hummus/babaganoush, rice and I ordered the Nar Kebab for my main dish. Plenty of food, delicious, and nice ambiance. Ruya, our server, was excellent.

We were there for Turkish spread breakfast. The food was not bad, tasted ok, but let me tell you why I gave 3 stars for food: pricing and service.

They charge 37$ per person for spread breakfast. Its fine, I was at many spread breakfast places before. It is not super expensive (but expensive) when you consider all other places. But… if you put only SIX pieces of cherry tomatoes for 2 adults and SIX cucumber slices then your pricing turns into a JOKE.
Seriously… how much 6 cherry tomatoes?? How much is a half cucumber??
They gave jams in a single service cups, and they filled only half of cup. Take a spoon of jam and jam is gone. Lol.
They also put us at a tiny miny table. Even tho I asked “are you sure we will fit here?”, they were very sure about it.
Turns out they were wrong. I did not have any space to put my fork and knife. Things keeps falling down. I had to try to fit things on the table, move things around constantly so nothing will fell down.
You also have to try to catch someone for tea EVERY SINGLE TIME. Because they don’t give you the pot. Unlimited tea, they say, if you are able to get it because they are busy/ they don’t pay attention to you.

I came here on a Saturday night with a date. It was awesome. We were seated at 9 PM, most of the tables were full. The food came out in a perfect time, allowing us to talk between courses. The service was excellent. The food was incredible appetizers through dessert. I will definitely come back to Nar for the delicious / authentic top level Turkish food.

As someone who is Turkish, I was pleasantly surprised with the authenticity and the quality of the food here! I and my date had Dolma, Manti, Cig kofte, Beyti kebab, Mushroom Karniyarik, and finally the Kunefe all of which were excellent. The flavors were really good, quality of the ingredients brought the taste of Turkey. The staff were very kind, hospitable. Atmosphere is romantic and great for a date.
