My friends, fiance, and I went out for a late lunch and drinks and decided to visit a new place, Napper Tandy’s. It’s a well put together Irish pub with a modern take that comes across honest and traditional without leaning heavily on classic stereotypes. We were seated immediately and seen immediately by a wonderful waitress named Lexi. She got out drinks, came back for beverages after a respectful time, and really helped out with our friend with dietary restrictions due to a lack of allergen menu.
The appetizers, pretzels with beer cheese and mustard, came quickly and definitely impressed. The dough was fresh and piping hot, not too salty, and the dips were phenomenal. The mustard was perfectly spicy and tangy while the cheese was soft and flavorful, and stuck to the pretzel well.
I had the Pub Steak Sandwich with the kettle chips and it was amazing; the beef wasn’t tough and had a rich, savory marinade that accompanied the cheese, mushrooms, and bread perfectly. The chips were thick cut and freshly fried with an aggressive dry rub seasoning that complimented the sandwich and my drink fantastically.
Everyone else enjoyed their food, including a perfectly mid-rare burger, soft yet crispy fries, and great onion rings. The cocktails were strong, well thought out, and masterfully prepared. Overall service from the host and other wait staff was friendly, and Lexi was amazing. A perfect visit, and definitely worth the 30 minute drive on a more regular basis!

I recently visited this restaurant with friends for my birthday, and overall had a really good experience. The food was delicious — everything came out fresh, flavorful, and exactly as ordered. The atmosphere was also a big plus. It’s a great environment to watch the game, have good conversation, and enjoy a meal without feeling rushed. You can tell they put effort into both the menu and the vibe.
That said, I was uncomfortable with one aspect of the service. Our server (Julian) appeared to be wearing Meta glasses and recording while working. Regardless of the intention, being recorded while dining without clear consent doesn’t feel appropriate or professional. It took away from what otherwise would have been a great experience.
I truly hope management addresses this, because the food and ambiance are worth coming back for — but guests should feel comfortable and respected while they’re there.

I love this bar I come here all the time for the Tandy slam burger and I truly have made such great friendships here. The food atmosphere and overall hospitality that this bar has to offer you cannot find anywhere else. It has been such a great addition to Angier for all ages. Five stars every single time.

Perfection from the time we walked in until we left! Alexis is super friendly and we waited on nothing with her on top of everything. The potato bombs were smoky and super flavorful. I ordered a make your own burger with sauerkraut, swiss, mushrooms and thousand island dressing. It literally was one of the best burgers I’ve ever eaten. Bring back the Reuben burger, please. Cold beer, good food and great service! We found our new go to place.

Can’t say enough good things about Napper Tandy’s Irish Pub. They’ve always shown support for my towing business, and that kind of local support means a lot. The food is always on point, the drinks are great, and it’s nothing but good times every time you walk in. Awesome staff, great atmosphere, and hands down one of my favorite spots around. Highly recommend stopping in and supporting them like they support the community.

The food was great. The apple crush drink was trash, the bartenders are very young and it’s noticeable, they are more attentive to friends than to the other bar patrons. There’s no reason for anyone to wait 2 hours for another drink while sitting at the bar. I waited 2 hours to cash out for one drink, because after the wait I felt they wanted me to leave since no one even acknowledged us after our one and only round. The eggrolls were the best! I would have ordered more if the service was more attentive. New bar staff is needed for sure. Or a proper week or so of training and a proper manager in place would be ideal. Last night was the first time I have ever left no tip.

We’ve gone to Napper Tandy’s many times and it’s always been very good until tonight. We order a Modelo beer and it was flat. We told the waitress Zeah that the beer was flat and order a bud light bottle. When we got the bill we were still charged for a flat beer that only 2 sips was taken. When I asked why she told us that they don’t refund on alcohol. Whaaaaatttt?????? The beer was flat why would we be charged for a flat beer? We asked for the manager. She talked to the manager and that beer was taken off our bill. Honestly that waitress made our experience bad. Every other time we went it was great. I asked to speak to the manager and that flat beer was taken off our bill. What I don’t understand is for her to say alcohol is not refundable. I have never heard such a ridiculous response to being served a flat beer. We were glad the manager had good sense to take that flat beer off our bill.

Stopped by here on a whim while I was in the area. I was really impressed. Great atmosphere and impressive menu. I had the scallops to start and they were cooked perfectly. I also had the fish and chips. I’ll be honest, I was half expecting something you’d get at every other restaurant that offers this on the menu. I was wrong. I was surprised to receive on large piece of fish that was fried perfectly, right amount of crunch! I look forward to stopping by again to sample the rest of their menu.
