My thoughts–>
Drinks:
1. The smoked brown butter old fashion was delightful, though I didn’t get any smokiness in the taste. Slightly sweet with a bourbon punch underneath.
2: The cowboy bepop was fantastic. Smokey and smooth. Like a good mezcal drink should be. I loved this. ¡Viva!
Food (I’ll just tell about mine, though I tried all the apps at the table):
1. The calamari fritti was very good. Soft with a little bit of crunch, no rubbery taste like you get some places. Both sauces complimented it nicely, especially after a squeeze of lemon on the calamari.
2. The lobster tail topped with crab mix and a little butter was just what I hoped it would be. So good. The whipped potatoes were very smooth and had a surprisingly good amount of flavor. The asparagus, was asparagus… good but I think it needed to be just slightly more tender.
3. The Creme Brûlée made me very happy. One of the best I’ve had in a long time. Smooth and bursting with flavor, NOT overwhelmingly sweet.
We had a great time. The ambience was just right for great conversation, the staff was friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious. It’s not a cheap place to eat, but I think it’s a great experience to have from time to time. Go. Try new things!
The Perfect Setting for a Special Celebration
Napoli Sea isn’t just a meal; it’s an experience. Our group of six recently visited to celebrate a family member’s prenuptials, and the restaurant proved to be the absolute perfect intimate gathering spot.
From the moment we arrived, the fantastic atmosphere set a sophisticated yet relaxed tone. What truly impressed us was the nice, quiet atmosphere. In a city filled with loud dining options, Napoli Sea offers a sanctuary where great conversation can flourish, and you can actually hear everyone at your table—a rare and treasured quality, especially for a special family event.
The quality of the drinks was superb, highlighted by one of the best espresso martinis I’ve ever had—a must-try!
Exceptional Service and Delicious Food
The food was, simply put, delicious. Every dish arrived well-prepared and clearly made with high-quality ingredients.
However, the amazing service is what elevated the evening from great to truly exceptional. Our server was so attentive, kind, and courteous, ensuring our table had everything we needed without ever hovering. In fact, all of the staff were stellar. A lovely touch was when the manager stopped by our table just to check in; he was a very nice and who showed a genuine commitment to guest satisfaction.
Napoli Sea provided the ideal backdrop for a memorable family celebration. It offers a beautiful, quiet setting, stellar food and drink, and truly first-rate service. We highly recommend it for any intimate gathering or special occasion where excellent conversation and delicious dining are key.
Service, food, and ambiance all 5 stars!!!
We loved how all specials of the evening were brought to table side on a platter and explained in detail by our waiter, Christopher!!
Memorable evening!!!!
Napoli Sea is an absolute standout—perfect for any occasion, whether it’s a special celebration or an intimate dinner. The ambience strikes the ideal balance between upscale elegance and welcoming charm, creating a setting that feels both relaxing and refined.
From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding—attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm. Every dish we tried was a burst of flavor and creativity. The sea bass was cooked to perfection, flaky and rich with just the right seasoning. The filet was melt-in-your-mouth tender and deeply satisfying.
We started with the West Coast Oysters, then the charred octopus, calamari hors d’oeuvres, and all were decadent—perfectly tender and bursting with smoky, savory notes that set the tone for the rest of the meal.
The cocktails deserve special mention. The lavender lemon drop martinis were refreshingly sweet with a delicate floral twist. And the maple bacon old fashioned was a masterpiece—not only deliciously bold and well-balanced, but also served with a creative, decorative ice cube shaped like an old underwater scuba mask. Such a fun, thoughtful detail that added to the overall experience.
Napoli Sea is truly a culinary and visual delight. We’ll definitely be back when we get a chance to get back into town. Definitely recommend this place!
We had a great waiter that added to the overall experience, and the food was simply amazing. The Halibut was cooked to perfection. For the portions and quality of the food the price was good.
Definitely will be going back.
We liked the ambiance, a “nautical feel”. We also enjoyed our server. The food, however, was hit and miss. We ordered the east coast oysters and found them to be excellent, best oysters we have had in the STL area. I had the Halibut with lemon butter sauce and found it to be well cooked and delicious. The Caesar salad was nice as well. My wife ate the mussels as an entree. Neither of us cared for the “Dijon saffron broth” and found it too thick – and the flavor was just off. The worst aspect of the meal was the chocolate cake. It had an icing on the top that was so salty that even 4 hours after the meal, my tongue is still offended. I completely understand and appreciate adding some salt to a sweet item and usually find it pleasant, but this was beyond acceptable, especially considering the piece of cake was $20.
All in all, I would try the place again, but would avoid the mussels and dessert. The oysters were excellent.
