The popularity of this place seems to have out grown the size of its kitchen. Poor wait staffs are all wearing sneakers and darting about from table to kitchen the whole evening. I feel for them. Good pizza. Need to try their pastas one day.

We liked the buzzing atmosphere at dinner time. However, we rated it a bit lower due to the very long wait for our mains, over an hour (we timed it), which was tough with three hungry teenage boys at the table.
It may have been because it was a busy Saturday night. We enjoyed the pasta dishes, but the pizzas weren’t great quality, which seems not to match what many other reviews have mentioned. We’d be open to trying it again on a quieter night.

Best spot! Great pasta, pizzas & dessert – I’m obsessed with the carbonara pasta and pepperoni pizza. We made a bit of an unusual request which the staff were more than happy to accommodate. Such lovely atmosphere and very friendly staff. First and definitely not last time here, might be a favourite spot now! Best tiramisu I’ve tried too

My last restaurant here in Wellington turned out to be a hidden gem : Napoli. Truly the best Italian restaurant I’ve been to. Authentic flavors, cozy atmosphere, and impeccable service. To think, had I known earlier how excellent this place was, I would’ve gone a long time ago. A perfect way to close this chapter in Wellington. ❤️

Went here for my birthday. Tried a few of the starters, such as garlic bread, bruschetta, 3 cheese arancini, and the Provolone al forno. All were really good, and i could eat an endless amount of the Provolone al forno. I got the carbonara, and was nice and creamy. Tiramisu for dessert was good too.

Great place with fantastic service and authentic Italian food. We were lucky enough to get seated at the bar without a reservation. The staff are super nice and I did not have a pizza this good since my last visit in Italy 15 years ago! Considering they were fully booked the food came out pretty fast. They have great cocktails too.

This is some of the best food I’ve ever had. We ordered dishes for the table, they were all outstanding. We ordered the Gnocchi, fondue, calamari, bruschetta, tiramisu and donuts. All individually were 10/10.
The service was incredible, the team were super lovely and friendly.

Napoli, Wellington, delivered an outstanding dining experience from start to finish.
I had the porcini, white button, and portobello mushroom risotto, served in a rich cream sauce with a touch of smooth Gorgonzola blue cheese, finished with fresh rocket and dried Prosciutto di Parma. The flavour was seriously amazing — what really stood out was the authenticity. Every element tasted true to its Italian roots, beautifully balanced and indulgent without being heavy.
My friends ordered the Pizza Capricciosa, which was very good overall. Their only critique was that the base could have been a little crispier, as it was slightly soft for their liking. That said, the toppings were excellent — especially the artichokes, which were absolutely divine and full of flavour.
To make the evening even more special, it being a Wednesday, there was live music by Carlos, an Italian singer. He was genuinely one of the best performers I’ve seen and heard — and that includes my travels in Italy — so well done on that addition.
Despite the café being full, the service was perfect: attentive, efficient, and friendly throughout the evening. Everything ran smoothly, making the experience even more enjoyable.
Highly recommended for authentic Italian food, great atmosphere, and exceptional service.
