The food was truly authentic, delicious, and full of flavor. We ordered different pizza and seafood dishes in two separate visits, most recently today, and each plate reflected a deep respect for Neapolitan culinary traditions, both in taste and in quality of ingredients. The seafood was fresh and carefully prepared, and the pizza was exactly as it should be; simple, balanced, and deeply satisfying. The wine list also deserves special mention, offering a thoughtful and well-curated selection that perfectly complements the menu.
Even during unforeseen and inevitable circumstances (things that can happen anywhere) the personnel stood out remarkably. They were extremely cautious, kind, positive, and constructive, handling everything with professionalism, calmness, above all genuine care for their guests with absolute sincerity. Their attentiveness and helpful attitude made us feel welcomed and reassured throughout our visit.
Coming from the Mediterranean and having lived for many years in Italy, with long firsthand experience of everyday Neapolitan cuisine and food culture, we can comfortably say that this restaurant is not merely a pleasant place to eat and drink. It is, in many ways, a small Naples in Cambridge. The spirit, atmosphere, and cultural authenticity are unmistakable. Beyond the excellent food, the place recalls values we deeply miss, both gastronomically and emotionally, bringing back memories of shared tables, sincere hospitality, and the warmth of true conviviality. A rare and genuinely moving experience!

This is a great restaurant. The food is top notch. We had a calamari starter, which was delicious – crispy batter and super succulent squid. We had various mains (seafood spaghetti, pizza and grilled lamb dishes) all were lovely. Espresso was perfect – the cup had been warmed and the coffee was silky smooth. We will certainly be returning.

I gave 1 star for the food because there was a dead fly (as large as a pea) inside the glass of ice come with coke. Luckily we caught it before we started to use it.
Food is also mediocre, does not taste like good quality of ingredients, and the seasoning is really simple. The carbonara is definitely not authentic.

Table was dirty and dusty the minute we were sat on. The little plastic cactus was full of spiderwebs. Ordered pasta carbonara and pizza marinara. Pasta was cold, uncooked, completely tasteless and the pieces of what seemed to be “pancetta” were cut for pigs. The pizza was completely cold and the tomato sauce on top was sour. Had to return the dishes and after we got new ones the pizza sauce was still sour so had to return it again! What a disappointment. Andrea (the waitress) was the only good thing about this place. She was very polite and caring and apologised million times about the bad food experience we had. We will never return again.

If you’re looking for authentic Neapolitan cuisine, this place is an absolute gem! The food was absolutely delicious – full of flavour, fresh ingredients, and truly traditional recipes that make you feel like you’re in Naples.
But what really made the experience unforgettable was the service. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout the entire meal. They made us feel right at home and added a special touch to the whole evening. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Genuine Italian food served by friendly and helpful staff. Everything was delicious and the menu had a good selection of Italian favourites. The pizzas were made in full view and were done properly, just like being in Italy.
Top tip…. save room for the desserts. They were so good, especially the limoncello sponge, amazing!! Would recommend this restaurant to anyone, and the fact that many Italians were dining there says it all!

We were in Cambridge for an afternoon and were looking for a nice pizza place – jackpot! We found Napoleat and couldn’t have been happier. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, perfect for a relaxed meal. The pizzas were delicious and with generous toppings. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Cambridge and will happily recommend it to others.

I’ve been to Napoleat many times – at one point, I was going every other Thursday! The food is always delicious, and the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming.
My go-to dishes are the octopus salad, the Bronte pizza and the baba for dessert, but I’ve probably sampled most of the menu, and every dish has been impeccable. Can’t wait to try their new pistachio tiramisu!

Always a great pleasure to eat at this restaurant. Friendliness, speed of service and maximum quality of the ingredients are the secrets of the restaurant. Furthermore, the dishes are always updated with the typical Neapolitan imagination but always with an excellent result.
