The food is delicious. It did not disappoint. We definitely plan on returning.
Thank you so much for making our first visit so memorable.
Service:
Our server, Adrena J, was amazing. Kind, attentive, good sense of humor, and spot-on with everything from answering questions to getting the orders right.
Food:
We ordered sushi and lettuce wraps from the happy hour menu, a couple of glasses of wine, and the blackberry sangria. For dessert, we had the pineapple crème brûlée and mochi donuts. Everything was excellent, and the prices seemed reasonable for what we got.
Atmosphere:
This was the only drawback. The seating is too close together, and the music was too loud. I felt hoarse from trying to have a conversation, which isn’t ideal when visiting with friends for dinner. Because of that, while I’d definitely return, I probably wouldn’t choose it as a place to meet up with others. You have to raise your voice to be heard, and with tables so close, you end up competing with your neighbors’ conversations too. I deducted one star for this.
This restaurant will not be for everyone, especially if you’re opposed to delicious food, allergen friendly menus, and top notch happy hours. The service wonderful, the food excellent, the atmosphere is amazing. Ordered the fried goat cheese, pork belly burnt ends, raw oysters, smash burger, and a few other items, recommend them all.
You know it’s a good spot when you go, and while eating you want to keep ordering but are full. Cannot wait to go back.
Highly recommend for business meeting, date nights / lunches, family get togethers, and anything in between. Definitely go check it out, everything will be cooked properly and seasoned appropriately. Highest recommendation.
Also they had my favorite ~ crème brûlée, but with an extra special flavor, espresso! Wowwww!
We each enjoyed our food, the beet stack, meatballs (delicious!) and chicken / potatoes. The sweet red wine was great as was the white wine sangria.
Our waitress was very friendly. We’ll make it a point to stop back in the future for sure!
The first was the jazz brunch on Dec7. This was a very nice experience with good service and food. The guava mimosa was delicious and $15 for bottomless=no brainer.
The second experience was tonight for dinner and let’s just say if not for the decor, it would have been one and done. We had a reservation for 8pm. Arrived at 7:55. Sat at 8:15. Water was brought to the table at 8:25 and we ordered cocktails. Cocktails started trickling in about 10min after that. The holiday cocktails were not served as depicted on the holiday menu. 3 people in our group ordered the Rum Reindeer Run bc of it being served in a big Santa boot. All 3 were in regular glasses. Sunday night is a work night and a couple ladies in our group were getting frustrated that it was nearing 9pm and we still had not ordered dinner despite letting our server know we were ready 20min earlier.
The food arrived timely once we finally ordered and it was decent. Nothing that my mouth will be watering for in the future.
I don’t know what was going on here tonight but it was a 2 out of 5 experience if I’m being generous. Just so many balls dropped all the way through from being sat 15 min late, to the wait time to be greeted at the table, order drinks, and especially ordering dinner…to our food arriving and we still had no silverware or napkins and I had to leave the table to ask the hostess. Our food sitting in front of us getting cold, when the hostess comes back with forks and knives but no napkins to another employee coming back and offering us plasticware, and we still needed napkins ♀️ On top of this, the bathroom was 2am night club trashed. I can’t even fathom how a restaurant restroom gets that bad during a dinner service.
When we first arrived, we were all excited to come back another time for brunch..but now I am not sure I really want to go back. The saving grace is that this place is everything a holiday pop up should be in terms of atmosphere. But aside from that, it lacked in creativity for the holiday cocktails, service was pretty awful, and food was just ok…probably would’ve been better if we could have eaten it when it was hot if we’d been given utensils.
For how much they’ve put into the decor, you’d think they’d have a bit more creativity with the cocktails to match that Christmas spirit. Ugh. I just want to love this place so much but it was a colossal disappointment tonight. In all fairness it was really good for brunch the other week but I just don’t know if I’ll go back and I can’t recommend it based on the overall from both visits.
the food was amazing (sushi- fresh, smash burger on point, oysters were good, the cocktails were just right and our waitress was superb , oh and don’t the atmosphere and ambiance.. quite magical or just my inner child smiling from ear to ear. Again, if you love “Merry and Bright”, stop by and see for yourself.
