My wife and I have been coming to Monticello for many years and I have never been here for some reason. She found it and we decided to check it out. It did not disappoint. The service was fantastic and so friendly. The food was very good. I had the hamburger steak and my wife had the seafood potato. We also had the cream cheese bites! They were all very good. Can’t recommend Nanny’s any higher. Thank you. We will be back.

Plate lunch was ready when we walked in. The food was better than mom used to make. When we sat down, they brought the tea containers to our table so we wouldn’t run out. Very friendly folks who make you feel at home. One of the best meals I’ve had in awhile.

I’ve been coming here since 2009. The service and people that have worked here are always kind. The food excellent. This is the only restaurant left in Monticello. And it’s worth the 12-mile drive from Monticello. The prices are fair. Last week I went to the “Uptown BBQ and Grill” paid $18.00 for a ice cream scoop of chicken salad, a 10 pieces of fried pickles and unsweet tea. Wish I would have drove the 12 miles to “Nanny’s”

I ordered 4 hamburgers at 5:25 and they said they would be ready in 30 minutes . 6:05 I arrive and they said sorry it wasn’t ready be another 45 minutes so me being me and understanding things happen like that sometimes I said no problem I’ll wait . 7:00 arrives and they say we are fixing to start cooking it now , so I said keep your food I’ll go elsewhere . Also they don’t accept debit or credit cards so are they outdated or just possible tax evasion? I will never go back and I will highly recommend the same for others .

We spent $10.-$15. Per person only because we got appetizers. They are reasonably priced, have good food and staff is friendly. Has a great homey atmosphere feel. My son and I loved it. (Was glad I had my check book, my son was going to pay but they don’t take cards. So definitely have, preferably cash, cash or check with ya) ❤
