We got there right at opening, and everyone was very welcoming when we went in. As soon as we were seated they gave us waters, and they were able to give us great recommendations!
It’s a decently sized restaurant inside, they had light and dark contrasting colors, which is nice to see.
Just a few things we ordered:
Royal Lassi – this Mango yogurt drink is very smooth, and refreshing. I wouldn’t mind having this as a dessert drink.
Basamati Rice – I love rice, this was cooked perfectly, the best complement to the main meal.
Kung Pao Cashew Chicken (dry) – this has to be my favorite version of Kung Pao chicken. The spices and seasonings were great. The chicken was tender. The veggies were amazing (water chestnuts are my favorite )
Chicken Szechuan Momos – oh my goodness, I can’t with this dish, it’s just too good. The chicken filling in the dish, just everything about it was amazing!
Everything here, amazing, if you love Indian and Chinese food, please try this place out, you won’t be disappointed!
We ordered chicken lollipops, chili chicken, gobhi Manchurian, veg pakora, and hot & sour soup. The food was okay, but the execution felt inconsistent across dishes. A common issue was the way the vegetables were cut — very large, chunky pieces in multiple items. For stir-fried Indo-Chinese dishes, this really matters. When vegetables aren’t properly julienned or evenly sized, they don’t cook evenly or absorb flavors well, and the overall taste suffers.
The chicken lollipops and pakoras were decent, but dishes like chili chicken and gobhi Manchurian felt off mainly due to the oversized cuts. Unfortunately, the meal also didn’t sit well with my stomach afterward, which further took away from the experience.
Given how highly rated this place is, I was surprised — maybe we caught them on an off day. It was also a day of very heavy rain and flood warnings across LA, so that may have played a role in how things were running.
Not terrible, but not memorable either. I might give it another try sometime, but this visit didn’t quite live up to the hype.
We had a mango lassi to drink. It is cool and refreshing. It helped with some of the spicy food we had.
We got a garlic naan and paneer. The naan was large and tasty. Dunk it in the paneer.
Next up was the Kung Pao Cashew Chicken. The spice level and the curry flavors really took this to another level.
The hakka noodles were next. These are Bombay style lo mein noodles. Just delicious and another large portion.
Last, we had the chicken Szechuan momo. These are dumplings cooked Szechuan style. I never want regular dumplings ever again.
Great food with big portions. They also have a weekend buffet that I want to come back and try.
service – AMAZING 10/10. we were asked a few times if we needed anything else after we were seated. the buffet foods were constantly brought out and none of the trays were left empty.
atmosphere – 10/10, this place is really welcoming and everyone enjoys the food and people around them. we don’t go to this area often but will definitely be back and try their different la carte items. they even had a live band and everyone was just having a lovely time. very memorable.
I also tried the Hakka noodles and veg fried rice. They were okay, but honestly, the soup is the real star here. The employees are very nice and helpful, which makes the experience even better. Definitely worth the drive if you’re a soup lover.
