Mason and his co-owner, Coco the dog, have created something special here. The moment you walk up, the vibes are immaculate — a relaxed, garden-esque atmosphere that instantly puts you in a good mood. It feels like a little oasis where the day slows down and everything just feels right.
The coffee is exceptional, clearly crafted with care, and the menu has some really thoughtful, unique choices you don’t find everywhere. And the fresh baked goods from the local micro-bakery? Absolutely delicious — the perfect complement to whatever you’re sipping.
You can tell Mason pours his heart into this place, and Coco adds that warm, welcoming charm that makes you want to stay a bit longer.
Highly recommend stopping by — it’s one of those small, memorable experiences that brighten your whole day. ☕
Nanea Coffee is a gem tucked away at the entrance to Anaina Hou Community Park in Kilauea, Kauai. This charming coffee truck delivers an authentic island experience with its laid-back vibes and top-notch brews. On our recent visit, my partner and I stopped by during our favorite hike, and it was the perfect pitstop to refuel.
The setup is simple yet inviting, with benches and tables creating a cozy spot to sip your drink. I ordered an iced latte with macadamia nut flavor and oat milk, while my partner went for the same with whole milk and a caramel twist. Both were phenomenal—smooth, rich, and bursting with those signature Hawaiian flavors. It was hands-down the best coffee we had on the island, and we were gutted to find them closed when we tried to swing by again later that day.
The service is a standout—friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about their craft. The barista took the time to make our drinks just right, and the chill atmosphere made us feel right at home. The menu also offers tea and non-coffee options, plus there’s a plant nursery nearby for a unique touch. It’s clear Nanea Coffee is a local favorite, and it’s easy to see why. If you’re on Kauai’s North Shore, this spot is a must-visit for a killer cup of coffee and unbeatable island vibes. We’ll be back next trip for sure!
There is an outdoor seating in a beautiful garden space, but it was a drizzly morning and most people were taking their coffee to go. It seems to be a popular with locals — the few people we chatted with in line live in the area. There was a steady stream of people; I’d call it busy but not crowded and the barista served us all at a steady paced that felt efficient. He acknowledged everyone as they walked up and didn’t seem too bothered when I asked a couple questions about the plants in the seating area. I was careful to only ask two questions since he was busy and I can talk a lot!
Overall the atmosphere felt friendly and relaxed and I wish I’d had an opportunity to come back during my trip.
This little coffee truck is an absolute delight. From the rich, perfectly brewed coffee to the freshly baked pastries, everything feels crafted with local care. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The owner is friendly, the service is quick, and there’s a clear love for good coffee here. A must-visit for locals and anyone passing through!
