When I’ve ordered take out, I haven’t had issues with it.
With dining-in, my experience has been alright overall. The food is typically fine, and I enjoy the music they play and how they’ve decorated the space, but I’ve noticed they seem to have a hard time keeping the place clean. I’m not sure why, and it’s not too big of a deal since it’s not super dirty, but I expected them to pay more attention to detail since their food isn’t cheap. Maybe they need a cleaning crew or they need more staff members or better training or better cleaning tools. I believe their staff members are doing their best, and I’ve never been treated badly here, so I don’t think they’re the issue.
Some months ago, the manager was approaching every table and when he found out there was one food item that didn’t meet my expectations, he offered to exchange it. I hadn’t expected this, so I thought this was really cool.
The last time I went to this location was on Thursday night, and there was only one other table there. The table I was originally taken to didn’t have clean seats, so I asked if I could get a napkin or a wipe to clean the seat myself and I was told I could use a different table, but that one had the same issue, so they finally offered to clean the seat. The person who was helping me find a table was nice, but I don’t think they noticed that they hadn’t wiped all the crumbs away and I didn’t wanna be a bother, so once I got some napkins, I finished cleaning it myself. I didn’t mind doing this, and I’m only mentioning it because I’m hoping whoever is in charge of this location will try to find a solution. It was also late, a bit after 9pm, so I’m sure they were busy preparing to close.
My food was pretty good for the most part. I had the chicken bowl because I like the roasted red peppers and hummus. I paid extra for some avocado, but the avocado could’ve been better, and it was also very small. I think they give you maybe half of a very small avocado or less than half of one.
Since it’s my birthday month and I’ve signed up for their rewards, I also had a free Naughty Natta I could redeem. I had never tried it before, so I was curious about it. They forgot to bring it to my table, so I had to ask about it and since they were gonna close soon, they gave it to me in a to-go box. They apologized about not bringing it before. Anyway, I liked it. It was a bit burnt on the bottom, but it was good. It’s small so it’s more like a light treat.
Overall, this Nando’s is decent for what it is. You end up paying around $19-$25 for one meal after taxes and tips. I add a tip when I dine-in, even though you don’t really get much service. Someone brings a plate to you, and that’s really about it. It feels closer to how fast food works.
Last but not least, I have some tips for anyone who hasn’t tried Nando’s yet: If you’ve never been to a Nando’s, one thing that could be confusing is the way they do dine-in. After you’re seated, you have to scan a QR code which takes you to their app. If you don’t like having apps on your phone, you can also order through their mobile website. When ordering, you select “order at table” and you will be able to put your table number on that order. They have a section where you can grab utensils, napkins, and glasses. This is also where they have their fountain machine, which has water too. If they’re out of something, you can ask for it.
The pineapple lemonade was freaking delicious
I definitely am glad I came here.
Service was great and we were checked in on multiple times. Seriously if you are in the area, eat here, you won’t regret it.
