Update they posted an apology but then deleted it .
I’m very concerned about this experience, especially because I genuinely like Nando’s and have eaten at many locations across different cities and countries. This was completely outside the norm.
I ordered the sweet and spicy chicken wrap. I was told they were out of thigh meat and that it would be replaced with breast meat, which was fine. However, what I received did not resemble the wrap I ordered or how it is normally prepared. The wrap lacked the crunchy vegetables it’s supposed to include and only contained romaine lettuce, and it looked closer to a chicken Caesar wrap than the item I ordered.
More concerning was the condition of the food itself. The wrap was extremely wet and soggy in a way that did not seem normal or safe to eat. I couldn’t get past more than a couple of bites. I was starving and still couldn’t eat it, which says a lot.
I didn’t feel comfortable bringing it back at the time, but the quality and condition of the food were concerning enough that I felt it was important to leave feedback. This experience raises serious questions about food preparation at this location, and I sincerely hope it was an isolated issue.

Lunch at Nando’s Peri-Peri in Washington DC’s National Harbor was an absolute flavor explosion! If you’re a spice lover like me, this place is a must-visit. I went for the Family Meal—perfect for sharing, but honestly, I could’ve devoured it solo. The BBQ chicken skewers were the star of the show: juicy, smoky, and kissed with that signature peri-peri heat that builds with every bite. ️
The portion size was generous, ideal for a midday feast with friends or family. The chicken was grilled to perfection—charred edges, tender inside, and drenched in spicy marinade that hits all the right notes. Paired with sides that balance the heat, it’s a meal that satisfies every craving.
The vibe at National Harbor adds to the experience—sunny waterfront views, lively energy, and plenty of spots to stroll after lunch. I snapped a few pics to capture the moment (check them out!) because this meal wasn’t just tasty—it was Instagram-worthy.
If you’re in DC and craving bold flavors, Nando’s delivers. Pro tip: ask for extra hot sauce if you dare. Your taste buds will thank you.

The skewers are always so succulent that I can’t help but order them every time. for some reason in my last visit I got asked if everything is going okay at least 5 times and by 4 different people. Very strange! Food was great and the people were nice so no complaints from me.

The QR Code table kiosk option to order my meal was a very great and convenient option. The QR Code made ordering my food very easy since it took me right to the restaurants app on my phone. The app was easy to use and fun. We dont have this option at any of our restaurants in South Dakota. I am a food server at Red Robin Gourmet Burger and Brew Restaurant where a customer can play video games on the table kiosk, or order a refill on a beverage, or order desert to go or complete a survey, or Pay and Go, thank goodness, because what would I do for a living if Red Robin customers were able to order their meal without my assistance? LoL…but I believe I am safe, since South Dakota is always behind the times alwayz and missing the trend most years, so I will always have a server job position to fill. Well, back to the very delicious menu options at your National Harbor restaurant, kudos and two thumbs up! The meal was very tasty and i had your awesome fries left over to take with me back to the Gaylord National Resort room for breakfast along with that original sauce that comes with it…thank you for the awesome and modern experience. I truly enjoyed it!

Very tender chicken even their white meat. The chicken is very flavorful and I especially liked the rice. The coleslaw was too wet. 6 people shared a 4-6 platter which was just enough but recommend adding a couple of dishes. The servers are attentive. Overall good value for money.

Nando’s will always be my first choice. Great food, great value. They used to have more vegetables, but everything really is excellent here. I like how easy it is to get take out when the place is packed. Service is a little slow, so give yourself a bit more time than you think if you’re on a tight schedule.

I don’t have a Nando’s where I live so I always hit up this location when I’m in town.
I came back twice this trip and wanted to commend the staff and management for their franchise here. It’s hard work maintaining an establishment in a convention area but they all do it well.
Jeremiah was great the second time I visited. I wish I got everyone’s else names but you’re all fabulous. 🙂

Amazing chicken sandwich with pineapple. The sweet potatoes and mac and cheese were amazing. Beautiful cuisine so unique and wonderful flavors. I wish this was available on the West Coast.

My first time dining and I must say the customer service was spectacular! The food menus had some many great choices and my food came out less than 10 mins after ordering. I highly recommended this establishment.

VERY slow service. Waited a long time to not only have the food delivered to the table, but to even get cups for drinks. Many of the tables were still not bussed (when we got there- only one table was clean) and the silverware situation was odd. When the food was finally at the table, we were not given any silverware. We sat staring at our food for a while before deciding that we had to go ask them. They were not that busy, and yet the service was very slow. They gave us “to go” silverware in plastic wrapping (despite the other tables having metal silverware and I noticed a table (normal dining table) with silverware that looked like it just came out of the dishwasher). Later on someone brought us metal silverware (must have been a miscommunication somewhere). The food, however was great! The chicken was fresh and juicy! The amount of avocado on my salad/bowl was great! They did however forget the rice side I (stupidly) paid $2.99 for- and I had to go to the counter to request it- but other than that the food was actually quite good. The service was such a put off though!
