For the last ten years, I’ve made it a point to visit Nando’s on almost every trip to Washington DC. I first heard about it from a friend in college who spoke so highly of it in 2015, nd ever since, it’s been such a great experience every time. The food is always high quality, the atmosphere is lively and welcoming, and the sauces are absolutely amazing. It’s more than just a meal — it’s quite an experience.

Walked in And was greeted by the entire team. Food was amazing well seasoned and cooked perfectly . Fav is always gonna be their mashed potatoes. The pineapple lemonade 10s across the board. Service was great they brought food to the table and silverware. They noticed my friend had leftovers and brought her a Togo box and bag. And spoke when we left thoroughly enjoyed my experience

I absolutely love Nando’s. Every time I go, it reminds me of home. The flavors, the peri-peri spice, and the overall experience are always comforting and familiar.
I visited on a Saturday 13th December evening around 10:30 PM, and we were mindful that they were close to closing. We ordered, ate, and left without staying long. The food itself was excellent, as always.
However, I ordered the peri-peri chicken bowl with a chicken breast and was surprised to receive only half a breast. I’m not sure if this is the standard portion or if it’s because it was late in the evening, but it was a bit disappointing since there wasn’t much protein.
That said, the flavor and quality were still great, and I’ll definitely be back, just hoping for more consistent portions next time.

So happy to see Nando’s in the US! The food was just the way I remembered. Can’t stress enough how good. My only issue is that the one of the portions that go with the main should be medium and not small – I had to manage my rice to last during the entire meal hahaha

This Nando’s location is always a favorite of mine in DC! The staff is super friendly, the atmosphere is lively, and the chicken is always fresh, juicy, and packed with flavor.
