Nancy’s Diner was founded by Bob and Nancy McCarrick in the Spring of 1984. Both proud military veterans, they established a loyal customer base with their fresh cooked meals and down home recipes. In 2005, after 20 successful years, they kept the business in the family by selling the diner to their daughter, Denise, a proud U.S. Navy veteran. Denise decided to give the family restaurant a new look by incorporating a 1949 Silk City diner with an old fashioned soda shoppe design. Nancy and Bob may have sold the business, but you will still see them here with Denise, cooking up your favorite homemade dishes, soups, and desserts.

Food is always excellent. Very hearty portions . Takes a bit but it’s worth it. Also who has home made toast with their breakfast? Nancys! It’s hard to find a good homemade rye. Excellent friendly service.

I only rate after being somewhere a few times, if it’s even worth rating. I love this place. It reminds me of an old diner my grandma used to take us up in NJ. Foods super good and always hot. People seem to enjoy just being here it doesn’t feel like other places. It’s cozy. Everyone is very friendly and it feels like a second home if that makes sense. Don’t come here for fast food, come here for GOOD food. Gem of a place.

I love this place! Good meals at a great price! I usually eat here at least once a week, usually take out but I do try to come in when I can. The breakfast is amazing. I love the hobo and omelettes. I’ve never had a bad meal. Dinner is amazing and their specials are always great. The desserts are homemade and delicious. My sister loves the peanut butter pie. The staff is so friendly and they work so hard. They know you and they are just amazing people. It is really the definition of a hometown restaurant. The decor is so cute. It is such a ’50s diner. I love it. I tell all my friends about it and they do drive in from all over to eat here. And I feel special that it’s just down the street from me.

The food was very good! Nice portion sizes. The pancakes are not what you might expect, they are 1 foot in diameter!!! Huge! Homemade toast, similar to Texas toast. Your food is cooked per order. Nothing is par-cooked and warmed. Therefore, leave plenty of time for a party of four. We had three coffee warm-ups after ordering before the food was served. Nice place, very nostalgic. We will return leaving extra time.

If you want home cooked food this is the place. Mashed potato’s with lumps of real potatoes in them, home made applesauce cabbage rolls, home baked bread. All of this in a real old time diner. Lots of Betty Boop memorabilia and other collectibles on the upper shelf. Nice folks. Went back again and had the chopped sirloin and mashed potatoes. Plate was full and everything was delicious.

The sausage gravy & biscuits, it was edible but that’s it. Three of us ate maybe half our servings & I didn’t get a to-go container. Establishment is clean & our waitress was very good!
