FOOD MENU – Nana’s Dim Sum & Dumplings
Reviews
We love the decor. It’s really lovely inside and very comfortable. It’s got a nice atmosphere. The staff is very nice and make great recommendations. There are times when they might get a little bogged down and aren’t necessarily the most attentive, but it’s clear that they are all working hard.
On to the food. We have never done any of the entrees and mostly stick to their dim sum, apps, dumplings, and buns. It’s really a place to share food. The food comes out piping hot. Some of the highlights: the crab Rangoon is so good. It’s not overly greasy, the filling is so creamy and good and you can really taste the crab. The chili oil braised beef is amazing. The flavor is so good, but that chili oil creeps up on you. It’s definitely got a kick once you mix everything well so the chili oil is on everything. My absolutely favorite thing on their menu is the beef pancake roll. It has such a nice balance between the crispy pancake, the tender beef, the fresh and light cucumber and the sauce is so good.
The dumplings and buns are the star of the show. The shrimp and pork dumplings and the pork and chive are really good. The signature bao are so fluffy. I loved them. The soup dumplings are really the star, but they come out so hot, it’s hard to wait to eat them and I have definitely burned my mouth more than once on them.
Also, just about every picture I took is after we’ve already eaten a piece or two because we’re terrible at waiting.
Overall, the food is amazing. The price point is good. It’s totally worth a visit and it is a definite repeat for us.
Small portion of noodles, large pieces of bok choy and few pieces of wontons with shrimp and pork. The shrimp tasted like it was pulled out the sea a while ago. The shrimp tasted fishy. Shrimp usually is subtly sweet and clean.
The pancake was nice and flaky with the perfect filling and sauce accompanying it
The beef soup was also pretty good and not overly salty unlike other places where I have previously had something similar and pleasantly homely if I dare at.
Ambience was pretty good as well with the place not getting too loud and the decor was unique and tastefully done.
We had a waiting of about 20 mins for a party of 3 on a Thursday evening
Would definitely come back to try new stuff and also have the speciality beef noodle soup again
