This is honestly my favorite location. The staff is always so friendly, and the food is amazing and always fresh. I’ve already been here three times since they opened. I love the smothered pork chop and curry rice. They even have a special menu item that’s incredible. My boyfriend and I were curious about the “sweet chicken,” and they surprised us with a full chicken leg as a sample, definitely not expected and no complaints lol. It was so good that it’s a must-have every time we come. If you like candied sweet potatoes, that’s exactly what it reminds us of, fried chicken dipped in candied sweet potato syrup. It’s worth the cost of a two meat/ two sides plate!

I stopped by Nana Morrison’s Soul Food in Indian Land, SC, and wow: what an experience! I ordered the catfish, collard greens, mac and cheese, and ribs, and every single bite was fantastic.

The catfish was perfectly seasoned with that crispy-on-the-outside, tender-on-the-inside goodness. The collards had that rich, slow-cooked flavor you only get when someone truly knows what they’re doing in the kitchen. The mac and cheese was creamy, cheesy, and comforting—classic soul food done right. And the ribs? Fall-off-the-bone amazing with a smoky, savory flavor that made me wish I had ordered a second rack.

Friendly service, generous portions, and food that tastes like it was made with love. If you’re anywhere near Indian Land, do yourself a favor and stop by. Highly recommend!

We ate here for the 1st time & it is underrated. Everything we had was amazing. Fried fish, Ribs, mac & cheese, cucumber salad, coleslaw slaw, greens beans, cheesecake, & kool-aid. We dined in.
Jr. & Alex came to see how we were. It was a clean establishment & friendly employees.

Full plates of home style food that tastes like it was cooked by your Nanna. They have dessert and they play good music! My new favorite place!

The flavor of the chicken, and every single one of the sides is perfect. Anybody wanting soul food this is the place to be. Also always super clean, and the atmosphere is relaxed with not too many people coming in and out.

UPDATE
I said I would try again and I did. I had the fried chicken, stuffing and lima beans. The stuffing was out of this world amazing!!!

I had the bourbon chicken. The flavor was good but it was cut up on the bone so I kept having to pick bone fragments out of each bite. I love the large selection of sides! I will go back but not for the bourbon chicken.

A delicious soul food establishment that finally takes a ride to Indian Land.

The food was nice and hot. Chicken wings, crispy. Mac N’ Cheese, flavorful. The Rice, nice and tangy with a bit of spice. Cheesecake, not NY, but a delicious dessert to keep you smiling.

The price for several small plates was fine.

Service was well. You have your standard pickup from the line as they show you the menu and the display of edible arrangements right in front of you.

Quiet, laid-back environment. Tables are kinda close to one another, but to each decorative decor.

Will definitely make a comeback!

I had an excellent first experience here at Nana Morrison’s. My food has piping hot and fresh!!!

The young men who prepared my food had an excellent attitude and were very respectful.

This location has a well maintained, shaded and comfortable patio to enjoy your food…

So far, I have seen employees cleaning tables and food preparation surfaces every few minutes when they don’t have customers!! Love to see it. This location is spotless!

My only issue today was the young lady with braids, I couldn’t catch her name. – Unlike the other two employees here, she didn’t speak to me or my party. No “ Hello/ Enjoy your food/ let us know if you need anything” just stared at you and rolls her eyes. She has a very passive aggressive attitude like she doesn’t want to be here. As a newly opened restaurant, you guys have to be very careful who you hire. It will greatly affect your sales…

There’s not way anyone should be charged $13 for a side this small. When I ordered and saw that it was $13 for the side of cabbage I assumed it was enough to feed a family. This isn’t even enough for me to eat of twice. i ordered 4 pieces of large catfish for $22 and you mean to tell me a side this small is worth $13? I could’ve ordered a whole plate for a few more dollars. Ridiculous, your side portions and prices need to be reevaluated.
