We really enjoyed our first visit to Nan Xiang Express in Raleigh, North Carolina this week. We had first dined at the Durham location last month, and so we were excited to try the brand-new location that just opened in Raleigh.
It’s bright and airy when you walk in. Ordering was done at the front kiosks, and from that point on the service was excellent. The staff was friendly and welcoming throughout, with plenty of smiling faces that made the experience even more enjoyable. The friendly staff is quite noticeable and I suspect this is the result of a very good training program. Good for them!
We sampled a nice cross-section of the menu, including Wonton Soup, Pork Siu Mai, Wontons in Spicy Peanut Sauce, and of course the Nan Xiang Signature Pork Soup Dumplings (see photos). Every dish was flavorful and well prepared, with the soup dumplings easily stealing the show.
We had recently returned from New York City, where we enjoyed soup dumplings at one of the most famous spots around, so our expectations were high. Impressively, the dumplings here at Nan Xiang Express — right in North Carolina — were every bit as satisfying.
We’re very much looking forward to coming back to explore more of the menu. Highly recommended.

This place is so cute!! Everyone was really nice and gave great service. If you are passing by I highly recommend giving this place a try, some of the best matcha/boba in the university area.

Best soup dumplings I’ve had here so far! Everything we tried was delicious. The staff were so lovely. They have a massive screen that can play sports games, which is a bonus too. Excited to come back and try more things on the menu.

Delicious food. Lots of seating. I like that you can order at a kiosk but they need more of them. Food comes out fast. I like having soy sauce, vinegar, and chili oil at the table. There’s no napkins? Only tissues for some reason. I loved my food and drink though

We ordered braised beef noodle soup, pan-fried pork buns, secret Sweet n Spicy chicken wings, scallion oil noodles, beef tripe, organic soy milk, and passionfruit lime green tea. Everything was delicious; my mom’s favorite was the braised beef noodle soup, and my favorite was everything, lol
So glad they opened one in Raleigh, that way we don’t have to drive all the way to Durham! Now they need to open one in Clayton or Smithfield! Haha

One of my favorite comfort foods, I drive over 28 minutes to fullfill this craving. Employees are friendly and welcoming. Food comes out efficiently and tasty. I dont know what’s going on with drinks but the past 3 times I’ve been in im 3/4 of the way through my food before I get my boba tea.
