I’ve been coming to Nami Restaurant for years, and it never disappoints. The food is consistently excellent, and the sushi is always fresh and beautifully presented. I really appreciate that their menu includes not only Japanese favorites but also some amazing Korean dishes.
If you haven’t tried the Bibimbap, you’re missing out – it’s perfectly balanced, flavorful, and one of my go-to dishes every time. The service is friendly, the atmosphere is relaxed, and the quality has stayed top-notch over the years. Definitely one of the best spots in Morehead City for fresh sushi and great Asian cuisine.

I don’t normally write reviews but this place was so amazing to eat at!! I went on a friday evening with my boyfriend and the food was just spectacular. I’m a sushi lover through and through, they had a wide variety of sushi roll options as well as sashimi and hibachi options. Our waitress was super helpful and kind, not to mention she was simultaneously serving a party of 14+!!! She made sure we were served and happy, amazing staff and amazing food. Loved eating here as a visitor from MD, highly suggest here if you are a seafood lover

The waitress was friendly enough but the sushi kept falling apart because it was so thinly cut and packed. Never had an issue with sushi doing that in the past. Otherwise, I love the concepts of the boats. Prices aren’t outrageous.

Nami’s sushi is a weekly staple for us. The rolls are always fresh, very well made, and creative. Sun — the owner and head sushi chef — is a delight and very warm. She can help guide you if you’re unsure of what to get and provides great weekly specials in addition to the regular menu. Sip on the unfiltered, cold, cloudy saki as you enjoy your rolls. You won’t be disappointed.

I had an amazing experience dining at Nami in Morehead City today! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and relaxing. The service was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and made me feel right at home. The food? Absolutely incredible. The sushi was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. I also had the hibachi steak and scallops, and everything was cooked to perfection. The veggies were crisp and seasoned just right. You can really taste the quality and care put into every dish.
Highly recommend Nami to anyone looking for great food, great service, and a great vibe. I’ll definitely be coming back!

The BEST sushi in eastern North Carolina!! Friendly service, great atmosphere, and authentic quality-grade sushi that tastes just like sushi made in Japan. Food from their non-sushi menu is also amazing. If you’re in the Carteret county area you will not want to miss out on this awesome experience!

The owner is incredibly rude , I pulled up to the window to pick up a to-go order , was about to get waited on and the owner stopped the waitress from waiting on me . Granted I was the only vehicle in the drive through , I sat to the window patiently waiting to be waited on . After about sitting for a good 10-15 minutes the waitress finally came to the window . I asked what took so long and I was told that (I) the car that had been there , was a different vehicle and that I was waiting on sushi . I’ve never in life experienced a restaurant that had such a rude owner in life ! I highly recommend anyone not to waste your time or money ! If you can’t give out great customer service , than what’s the point of even being in business!! Oh yea the FOOD IS TRASH AS WELL !

First time visitors and this will be my go to restaurant for sushi and hibachi. (Sorry no hibachi pics-we got that to go). Kristen was our server and she was OUTSTANDING! The sushi rolls were amazingly fresh and well made. The round one is a Volcano Roll, left to right on the boat: TNT roll, green roll, T-PENO roll and a Hurricane roll. Thank you for a great dining experience! We will be back.
